I am not really sure what to think about this hotel. One thing is for sure- You get what you pay for. Me and my friend took half board since I heated the idea of riding a bus to have lunch and than go back to the beach!
Our ROOM was very big and comfortable with a large window and terrace overlooking the sea. The other window was facing the pool. If it was not for the dirt I would have enjoyed the room very much! There was dust everywhere and the BATHROOM was poorly cleaned as well. The worst thing were the sheets which were not changed before our arrival! It was disgusting! The very next morning I asked the boy who was in charge of cleaning our room ( yes, I wrote it well, in Egypt You will not see a single cleaning lady) to change the sheets and bring some more towels. A small tip made a miracle since afterwards we had up to 8 towels in the room and amazingly shaped sheets were made in order every day. Besides this everything else was rather fair.
FOOD was all right and sweets were great. Since it was the first day of Ramazan, dinner was a bit late, but we survived! Waiters and other personnel were polite and at moments too polite. All you could hear was Hello, how are you today with a strong accent. By the end of our stay I got really annoyed by this. They would also whistle when girls pass and call us by name which they remember in an instant!
Come to the BEACH... There is a bus (with a very nice driver) taking guests to the beach but if you don't mind walking it will take you less than 10 minutes to get there. Funny thing is that one can see the sea from the bedroom window but can not reach it since the beach is private and belongs to another hotel. Anyways, once you get to the beach you won't mind the drive! the SEA is amazing and there are various fish all around. The beach itself was not maintained well but still was looking good. For to ones making TRIPS and buying EXCURSIONS, which I strongly recommend, here is an advice: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THE AGENCY AT THE BEACH. They will cheat on you and do everything to sell a trip but once you buy a Jeep safari, for instance, instead of a jeep a small bus will come to pick you up early in the morning!!! At first I thought that we were just using this minibus to transfer and than jeeps will be waiting at the desert. I was explained that there is no such excursion as a Jeep safari! The guide said we had to pay the whole amount (we gave the deposit at the beach) and the agency will return the money. Sure... When we asked for the money back they were all unpleasant and rude and said it was none of their business and that they are on vacation. No one wanted to talk to us. I got angry and I took the deposit for my Jerusalem trip, even though I was supposed to leave in an hour!!! Then I went back to the hotel, crossed the street and made a great deal at the agency next to Il Mercato!
Please note that none of them has anything to do with the hotel.
Both POOLS were good and the staff was good too. They even offered to make a party for us in the evening. We failed to use this opportunity.
To sum up, once you get used to the dirt and meowing behind your back you might enjoy your vacation. It took me three days, might take you less :).

Let me lay it down: the location is great. it really is pretty close to everything and a few minutes drive to Naama Bay... But, they don't offer busses to Naama Bay, so you end up having to pay a butt-load to take a cab when all of the other hotels and resorts around you have free shuttle services to Naama Bay, the Old Market, and many other famous attractions. Also, every other resort around offers you free entrance to a variety of beaches, some sandy, some coral, and it's up to you to choose where you wanna go each day but with Grand Sharm, you have access to one crappy coral beach and the shuttle services to it are iffy! Moreover, the help desk are pretty useless! they treat you kindly and say they'll do whatever you request but we had to ask for the same thing for 3 consecutive days for them to take action! over and above, the cleanness of the resort could NOT be WORSE! cockroaches EVERYWHERE, insects all over the place, terrible smell in every suit and so on!
seriously, I'd only recommend this place to my worst enemies. look up any other place... just don't go here.

I would just like to mention a few staff names that were extremely helpful to us first Mohammed the bell captain was one of the most polite and very helpful to us, also Mohammed Sadd the assistant manager,also a good few staff in the restaurants I would like to mention Hussain nothing was to much trouble.
I would go back tomorrow a good selection of little shops also in the hotel we spent a lot of time in the picture shop with Ali and abdullah if you require a portrait picture of a family member or even a pet go on and see them I had a hand painted picture of my dog done was brilliant and painted in two days from a picture from my I phone.
Loved every minute of my holiday will go back

I wish I had taken advice and not read the views of others before I went to this resort however curiosity gets the better of you and read you do.
on arrival at this resort you will think "this looks ok" dont be fooled by first impressions folks... I am not a moaner and I usually make the most of where ever I go on holiday but this resort just does not make the grade. supposed to be 4* and barely makes 2*. The whole place is in a poor state of disrepair and would take many many thousands of pounds to bring up to 2* level. the accomodation is disgusting and never cleaned properly. Stained towels, smelly bedding and pillows, bare wiring in the rooms wher the lamps are conected to the walls. supposed to be all inclusive ha ha !! take plenty of wonga if you are staying here as the food sucks. 4 meal choices:- Grilled chicken, Fried chicken, chicken curry and steak that would be better on the sole of my shoes for lunch and dinner every day eventually managed to get a pizza after 3 days but was not worth waiting for. my honest advice would be to avoid this at all costs and pay a little more and book into an hotel not a resort as the hotels are of a much higher standard. very little to do in this area better staying in namma bay. if you do not take my advice and book this resort beware of the little poisoned gnome who has the perfume shop near the restaurant give him a wide bearth as he is a con man whom will try to pressure you into buying crap at excessively inflated prices......... the only decent thing in this resort are the junior staff, Bob the pool attendant is great as are Aymen and Aswan the bar men/waiters they are excellent and try very hard to look after you with the limited resources they have !!!! thats about it folks believe me or not its your choice and GOOD LUCK you will need it
