What can I say what hasn't been told in other reviews? Altough I think I'm not a demanding customer, I never expected this dump of hotel. Sure, when you pay budget price, you don't expect too much, but here they don't do basic service. Clean sheets? Forget it! Clean room? Not here. Clean towels? Guess...
They don't know words "clean" and "working" in this hotel.
Ok, pros first. Although employees don't speak english very well, they were quite kind. Lazy, yes, but kind. Also I kind of liked their food, very basic but more or less egyptian style. But I hope that you have a good stomach. Also tables are egyptian style - overcrowded and dirty like hell. Hotel beach is near very beautiful coral reef, maybe the best we've seen in Sharm. And, although you won't believe it if you'll read whole review, we actually had some fun there for first two days.
And now cons. Our room was a disaster. Loads of dust everywhere, mold on walls, sheets were half washed, but still dirty, towels were worse than dusters in my garage, bed was falling apart, chair was OK if you leaned properly (on three good legs), lock on doors stuck every now and then (usually when we wanted to go inside - excellent protection against robbers) and wardrobe was a complete joke. And bathroom, eh...I won't even mention cleanliness here, only one thing - their pipes have three settings only: boiled water, freezing water or no water at all. Also, toilet flushing was worse than a glass of water.
When we arrived, we immediately requested another room. When we saw another, we decided to stay in current one. After that we spent at least an hour waiting for roomboy to get us clean sheets and towels. He brought them, but they weren't any better. So we went outside and had fun in old Sharm.
Next day we decided that it's not so bad, told our roomboy how to clean everything and went to hotel beach. Although corals are really nice, the beach is a disaster. Overcrowded, lots of loud and rude locals, stupid and rude "beach manager" and loads of trash everywhere. No toilet anywhere near, no changing rooms, nothing.
After we came back to hotel, we checked the room and we immediately saw that roomboy did his best. He changed sheets with new, dirty ones, removed some dust and made a nice swan sculpture on bed - but the room still looked like disaster. Ok, so he apparently isn't a very talented cleaner. We asked him for a broom and spent two hours cleaning for ourselves. It was a little better then.
We spent next day at hotel pool. We found two good deckchairs (one in a ten is OK) and wnt to pool. Beware, the pool is a death trap. I almost broke my leg when I stepped on broken tile. Spent next two days limping around like some grandpa. Anyway, just don't walk on the edge and you should be fine.
We also had a nice debate with otherwise annoying massage man and spent whole afternoon at pool and bar watching egyptians and playing pool. I must say that egyptians are kind of nice and funny people, although they can be quite annoying.
In the middle of night we went to Cairo by bus, so we spent whole third day away from this hotel. Hotel staff prepared a "lunch" for the trip. This so called "lunch" was assembled from one cucumber and two apples. We almost cried when we saw lunches from other hotels. Eh... When we came back, we found our bed half-made. One half was just old plain oh-my-god-you-can't-believe-how-dirty-this-is mattress. Anyway, we were really tired after long trip to Cairo, so we just fell in our beds and slept.
Next morning we arrived at breakfast an hour after start and there was almost no food left anymore. We went to hotel beach one more time and called our travel assistant from there to get us some other place. Luckily she managed to find another 4-star place not far away for small price (cca. 50€), so we didn't think twice.
I could write a lot more about how crappy this hotel is, but I don't see any point. If you really don't need a lot of comfort, and you are young and adventurous individual who is used of backpacking doesn't mind sleeping in dirt and doesn't want to pay much, I guess this hotel could be somehow acceptable.
But if you have other chances, still, try them first. It really doesn't get much worse in Sharm than this...
