I have just returned from a week stay I only chose Egypt for the warm weather as we pulled up in fron of the hotel I thought oh no what have we picked only to find that when we passed throug the reception it was lovely we had 2 bedroom bungerlow with sea view yes was a bit dated but really really clean, hotel staff all very polite I amvery fussy eater but found something everyday food was always hot and really tasty I suometimes wonder what people expect its not england and you have to sometimes live below your standard at home but for me we had a terrific week and hotel staff very very good and friendly also Customer Relations Lady Oskana and I know I spelt that wrong but was really really nice and welcoming well done Beach Albatros
One moan was the weather for a few days was really cold but hey hotel is not to blame,

My wife and I have just returned from this hotel and feel other travellers need to be warned. We arrived early evening on Sunday 29th January and immediately were worried, It's situated in a dusty back street behind a School and a Prayer Temple just off a main road. We were taken to our room and as soon as we walked in I said " we are not staying here "
the room was dirty and the bathroom was something from the dark ages, mould over the dirty, cracked tiles, a filthy shower curtain supported by a length of chain looped through the ceiling tiles and a bad smell eminating from somewhere.

We were then taken to one of the supposed better rooms, number 3020. Again we walked in and it was slightly better but the bathroom was the same, by this time we were both very tired so we decided to sleep and ask to be moved in the morning. After a very uncomfortable night we asked to be moved and they took us to room 1110 in the main hotel building, this was mildly better and the bathroom was better, altough very poor so we thought what the hell let's just give it a go. The shower let's out a trickle of water, no matter what time of day you take one and the water is warm at best.

The main buffet restaurant is a complete shambles, no order whatsoever and the food was always cold or lukewarm if you were lucky. There is no waiter service so you have to get your own drinks which are served in plastic cups!!, I had some chicken one night from the BBQ and started eating it only to find out that in the middle it was virtually raw, this gave me the obvious results the following day. The menu is boring and repetitive, we lived off fries and rolls for most of our stay, the beach snack bar has the same boring, dull, dross menu every day too.

The entertainment staff seemed to be not wanting to be there and the one's that were looked like they wished they weren't, the only one who attempted anything was the Chief Animator called Revoo, mind you most of the time he just walked around shouting " wakey, wakey ". The only member of staff who worked was our room cleaner, but that's because I tipped him at the start!!!!

We have been to Egypt many times and I can honestly say without any shadow of doubt that this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in and if you are thinking of going please, please rethink and find a different hotel.

My husband and 4 year old son have just come back from a weeks stay at this hotel and we enjoyed every minute. As some other reviews have stated the rooms are a bit dated BUT they are spotlessly clean. We arrived (having only paid online via On the Beachfor a "Promo Room") and straight away the man on reception explained we would be moved to a family 2 bedroom chalet the next day. Fantastic. It is worth asking for a room upgrade if you are not happy as they are more than accomodating.

The food was really delicious and very good for an all inclusive package.

The 2 swimming pools at this time of year were freezing and so no-one was in them but the beach was pleasant enough with plenty of sun loungers and food and drink available at the Beach Cafe.

Evening entertainment was on the whole pretty good.

All in all a truly lovely hotel with the staff really making an effort to make your holiday the best.

On leaving we received a scroll stating we would have a free sea view upgrade on our next visit along with free massage, wi fi access etc.

we have just returned yesterday 11/02/2012, family holiday the hotel is spotless the food was very nice and plenty to choose from the staff are always helpful and polite, the beach is kept clean and tidy,thank you beach albatross for a great time
