when we arrived we thought what a lovely hotel which it was but then in the morning things changed breakfast wasnt to bad but the main restuarant is closed due to refurbishment so you had the choice to eat in either the italian restuarant or the grill bar and lunch and dinner here was terrible very little choice and the food was look warm. tables left with dirty plates and we had to move them to other tables to make room on occasions we even had to fetch our own cuttlery. ice cream was none existant . night time entertainment was a joke. we,ve been to egypt several times so we know entertainment is low key but this was terrible one night they even did a thing with mary and joseph and baby jesus and wanted us to join in singing jingle bells this is april by the way . then there was the building work we were lying by the pool with the noise of diggers and tippers driving through part of the pool bar we were forced to go to the beach for peace and quite it was terrible . this will be our last time in this hotel

staff were brill, friendly, helpful and never saw me with an empty glass. The rooms were squeaky clean. The food was amazing and the free local beer was Stella. I thought that I had gone to heaven. This place is a must.

It’s two years ago since I posted my report on the Reef Oasis Beach Resort in Sharm El Sheikh. That was after we had been stranded there due to the volcanic ash cloud causing cancellation of flights across Europe. It had been our 6th consecutive annual visit.
As promised, we returned last year but unfortunately one of our party suffered a brain hemorrhage whilst we were there. Those staff who became involved in the incident could not have done more and thankfully everything proved to be fine.
Following successful surgery back home and confirmation that flying again was no problem, we returned earlier this month for the 8th time.
We have seen many changes at the hotel and have followed the comments on Trip Adviser over the years. All we would say is that going back every year for 8 years should say enough in itself.
We have never once had anything but good service, usually excellent from the staff around the pools, bars, restaurants, guest relations and reception. Indeed, the way we are received each year and subsequently looked after, is probably the main reason we keep going back.
Everywhere is kept very clean and we have never had any reason whatsoever to complain. We find it very hard to understand some of the negative comments we see from time to time although we have witnessed some very rude and arrogant customers over the years.
We prefer the more authentic Egyptian design and build so have deliberately not upgraded to the Senses part of the hotel complex. We also think that the location and views from the Citadel Restaurant is wonderful and thoroughly enjoy both breakfast and evening meals there. Yes, from time to time it can get busy but all the staff work exceedingly hard and surely a busy restaurant is a successful restaurant.
Thank you Reef Oasis Beach Resort. We had a wonderful time this year and thankfully had nothing untoward happen. Thanks to all the staff that look after us so well and welcome us back every year with a smile.
I have no doubt that we will be back for a 9th time next year.

Having been to Shark's Bay eight years ago, we were looking forward to snorkelling at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort in Sharm El Sheikh after reading good reviews about it. We were disappointed. There was not much marine life with only patchy live coral and a limited selection of fish in the rather murky water. Because it is a vast resort, the jetty was always full of snorkellers and divers ready to plunge into the water, or just people looking out for fish -- it looked like Tesco on a pre-bank holiday day. We were a very small minority there as the resort was full of Russians and some Italians, so much so that the friendly reception staff all speak Russian apart from English. There were only two restaurants that were all-inclusive although more were due to open in the summer. Food was okay but the buffet menu seemed to change only slightly over the week. The pizzas at the Italian restaurant were good; so was the salad selection. Breakfast doesn't change but there is a variety of hot and cold. Wine is bad unless you want to pay for it and we opted for freshly-squeezed orange juice at $5 a glass instead of the tasteless free one at breakfast.
