“Excellent stay”

Having just returned from a three week visit to the Sharm Inn I would like to thank all the staff for making my holiday a most enjoyable one. I had a ground floor room which was clean and comfortable with a small patio to sit out on but spent most of the day on one of the many sun loungers that are around the pool. There is a little supermarket next door to the hotel where you could buy water which no one had any problems taking into the hotel and I never saw anyone having their bags searched as one of your recent reviewers claimed. I was on an All Inclusive deal and always found plenty in the choice of food provided. There was a salad bar, a hot mains buffet and a dessert counter with beautiful gateaux and fresh fruit, there was also fresh baked bread at every meal which everyone could help themselves to. One criticism I did have was that the food was not hot enough but after speaking with the restaurant manager that improved. The staff without exception were pleasant, (especially Omar) amiable and nothing was too much trouble. This is a low budget hotel but certainly 4 star in Egyptian terms, you pay for what you get and I have no qualms in going back as I thought it excellent value for money. An ideal hotel for people who want a quiet holiday to soak up the sun.

I would encourage any tourist to avoid this hotel, supposidly a 4star although i would more rate it a prison. your are not allowed to bring water or any food into the premmises i wittnessed a fellow guest (a 60 year old woman) having her bags searched for such items!!! Also wittnessed a manager shouting at another woman but not sure what it was for somthing ridiculouse im sure. First night we got their we went into the hotel restraunt and got given everything that was left from the all inclusive guests and i can honestly say i would rather starve then they had the cheek to charge me about double what it was supposed to be and money would of went straight in the pocket of the man that served us oh and maybe the other 4 men that stood round the table watching us like a hawk as we ate! the pool bar was a disgrace we ordered a hot dog & chips for me and a burger & chips for ma partner and ended up hugging the toilet for the next 2 days seriously ill and considering heading to the airport! we then decided it might be safe to order a bowl of fresh fruit (what could go wrong with fruit?) which was was propably fresh 3 months ago looked like bruised and conjealed mush smelt off and decided we didnt want to spend the rest of the holiday in the bathroom. this hotel leaves you feeling very unwelcome and will make you never go back to Egypt! My partner felt intimmidated by the staff and their was no point in complaining as you would just get shouted at and spoken about in egytian infront of your face!

Go to the canary islands instead....... we did and in a 2 star complex which was like a 5 star compared to this! aquario sol 1 in lanzerote ;)

Room Tip: just dont go

“Lovely staff, Pleasant stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
The rooms were decorated very nicely & were quite comfortable.
We had a room on the ground floor opposite the poolside bar & enjoyed sitting out on our small patio area when the sun went down, although I think those with kids would want a room away from the bar as you could hear people talking til quite late (which didn't affect us)
The pool is a really good size but it was far too cold to use in December. We had no trouble getting a sunbed everyday as the hotel was quite empty- which we liked.
The food was quite nice but got a bit samey after a few days & was always luke warm- they should look into a different method of keeping the food hot. Lovely selection of desserts & cakes every day.
The cups they give you your all inclusve drinks in are ridiculously small- like a child's cup & are pastic - not nice to drink from- you would probably need to ask for about 10 of these cups to make a pint!
All the staff were excellent & very friendly indeed & most spoke good english. There was a great waiter there called Amr (omar) who we enjoyed laughing & joking with
everyday he was great & a real asset to the hotel.
During our last couple of days - lots of Russians were arriving - & if you have the same feelings about them as most of the people we met do - then you may want to take this into consideration when thinking of booking!
All in all we had a nice relaxing time.

“Had a very chilling week - staff are great and made our holiday”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

My husband and I arrived 10th Dec for a weeks holiday. Holiday is small and very friendly. The staff were great and couldnt do enough to make our stay very comfortable. The hotel was only about 30% full so we didnt have trouble getting a sunlounger around the pool or a drink at the bar. We did find the hotel pool which is cold water too cold to go in for a swim but opted every day to catch the free shuttle bus to a nearby bay and swam in the sea which is great and we saw some amazing fish just snorkelling. As long as you buy a drink or food you can use the loungers at the beach free and the staff manning the little individual bars are very friendly and attentive.
All meals in the hotel are served in the one restaurant. We like to eat dinner at 8pm after a drink at the bar but be aware that a majority of the guests at the hotel are Russian and extremely greedy and will nearly clear all food as soon as the restaurant opens but dont be put off as food is replenished and we found it more comfortable to wait until they had fed and left the restaurant. We did feel the food could definitely have been improved as was quite bland and often opted to have the fresh pasta which is cooked when ordered by the chef. If you have a sweet tooth you will be in your elements as the selection is very good and you can help yourself to as much as you like. We met the cake chef and he is very nice, I explained I was not a big cake eater whereas my husband is and he made me a fruit platter when asked.
The bar for all inclusive finishes at 10.00 pm sharp so best to order a drink in before then as they do stick to the 10.00 pm deadline and then you are charged for drinks but to be honest we had had enough by then as the evenings draw in very early and it is dark by 5pm. We tended to get up early 7.00 am as the sun rises early and enjoy a full day. A couple of nights that we stayed around the hotel in the evenings we went to the upstairs bar which is inside and played a few games of pool.
A show is put on at the hotel in the fish restaurant which included a belly dancer and bar-b-q which is very good - as it was outside take a jacket as can get very cold by 8.00 pm when the show started - all food and drink was included if you are all inclusive.
We did feel the hotel needed a little tlc and updating but had a great week and feel totally relaxed and chilled out.
The old market is a short taxi ride away where we got some excellent bargains and presents for christmas - we did a lot of haggling and paid half what the original price was.
All in all a great holiday which was made even more special by the lovely staff throughout the hotel.

Room Tip: The hotel is small and friendly and is over two levels - we had a ground floor room which we preferr...
