“Brilliant!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

This was my first stay at Camel and my first time diving, all the staff both in the hotel and the diving centre were brilliant, all very helpful and friendly. The Hotel is based in the centre of Naama Bay, so great if you want to sample some different bars and restaurants, if you don't, the hotel has great places to eat and drink.
I will definately be visiting again!!!

This was our second visit to Camel Hotel and Dive Centre. Our last visit was in 2010 and again we were not disappointed.
The hotel rooms are large and comfortable and very functional. We were on the 2nd floor and had our own private balcony overlooking the pool.
The staff in the hotel and the Dive Centre are polite, extremely helpful and lovely people to be around. As Scuba divers we wouldn't dive with anyone else - their professionalism and energy is amazing and they are very encouraging.
The food in the hotel, bars and restaurants owned by the same company is fantastic.
The diving is great there and this time I passed by Advanced Course with their encouragement. A huge thank you to all concerned!
We would recommend this hotel and dive centre to anyone, diver or not. There really is nothing better in the of Centre Naama Bay.

Room Tip: Although the hotel is surrounded by 2 rave clubs, sleep quality is OK as you are tired and sleep any...

Great choice of rooms, diving, bars and restaurants! The staff are fantastic, efficient, friendly and always remember your face when you return from year to year - they go all out to make you feel welcome. Brilliant atmosphere, fabulous choice of dining and reasonable prices. And not least is the fact that it is one of the few places in the area where you do not get hassled. Wonderful place & highly recommended!

Room Tip: Everything you need all in one location

“Thumbs up for Camel Dive”

This place is an absolute gem compared to other places in Naama or maybe even Sharm. Very sweet, helpful and honest staff. This place is located right in the center of Naama Bay. Infact this is the center of Naama bay. Surrounded by good restaurants and beach, nightclubs and shops. The hotel itself has the best 2 restaurants and the best roof top bar amongst the many superficial and bad restaurants which constantly look to pull you inside their eateries forcefully. Thank god camel dosent even try as it sells for it taste and service. Tandoori the Indian Restaurant has good ambience and taste. Allthogh the main course was a little spicy and not that great. Pomodoro the Italian restaurant is quite good and has some nice steaks. But the Camel Bar is Divine and the best place to relax and listen to good music and enjoy your drink after a day of diving.
Not only the restaurants but also the hotel in itself is value for money and best service. The so called 5 stars in sharm should take some lessons from them. I had a major problem with my Visa and didnt know where to go and what to do? and Basem (Travel Desk Manager) promptly helped us without any charge and even spent the whole day with us taking us to ports authority and airports. Now thats what I call service.
The guys at the roof bar are very prompt with the service and attentive while clearing the tables and taking orders whenever we needed to replenish our drinks. We spent most of our time at this bar as this is the most popular bar in Naama Bay. Rooms are very basic rooms with no frills but always with Dry and clean towels. Also they gave a complimentry fruit basket upon our arrival.
The hotel is mainly concentrating on the Diving expeditions and it is amongst the pioneers in this. We also took diving course but with another college. But would take it with them as well anyday. Whenever i am coming back to Sharm i am staying here.
Cheers

Room Tip: We took the pool facing rooms on the first floor. Ground floor is better

“A convivial hotel with helpful staff, practical location and a great ambience!”

If you are looking for any of the above then stop looking further and book your stay here. I was extremely impressed with the kind of service provided by Camel Dive to assist you with whatever your problem or issue. Unfortunately, I checked in very sick into the hotel and was stuck in my room for the first three days! I had caught a bug from my trip to Cairo and when I got worse at the hotel, we requested for medical help. The hotel cordially arranged for an on-call doctor who was very good. Yet, my condition did not show immediately results so we requested for a taxi to the hospital. Camel Dive’s staff immediately arranged for transport for me which was on the house and the driver even refused to take a tip since he was sorry to see me so sick. Now, that is called caring staff! My brother and his wife had some issues with their visa and the hotel promptly assisted them, free of charge, by sending someone with them to guide and help them.
We weren’t expecting this kind of service from a three star hotel after we had spent the first week in Sharm at a 5 star, which did not even come close to Camel Dive’s quality of service, to say the least. Rest of the time we spent there, we were serviced at restaurants and Camel Roof Bar by really sweet and smiling staff. We ate at all of the restaurants in Camel and I can definitely vouch for the quality of food there. Tandoori was a bit of a disappointment, since I am an Indian and I expect a lot from an Indian restaurant, but considering the other options one gets around in Na’ama Bay, I guess you can give Tandoori a fair chance and decide for yourself. Pomodoro is a good restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Some of the sandwiches in Don Pannino are very good but definitely not all. The highlight of our stay was Camel Roof Bar, which was always cozy and alive with people! They play good music and serve good cocktails, drinks and snacks from the hotel’s restaurants. We used to kick back and enjoy our evenings at Camel Bar which is a stark contrast to most of the other bars in Na’ama Bay that have touts hanging around the empty bars, with deafening music, trying to drag you into these mindless & tasteless places.
The hotel rooms are very basic without frills with clean and well functioning bathrooms. They have free WIFI (which is hard to find even in the so called five star hotels with all the facilities) and offer you a free basket of fresh fruits in the room. Really impressive for such a little hotel! The hotel can get noisy because of its central location, therefore, I would recommend carrying ear plugs – they really helped me get sound sleep!
I will definitely return to this hotel. Unfortunately, we could not use the diving facilities but that was only because I was ill. My friends staying with us used the diving trips and only had good things to say. We will definitely use their diving trips to different locations next time we are there. We are really looking forward to it, actually!

Room Tip: Get a pool facing room - very cozy
