If you are looking for any of the above then stop looking further and book your stay here. I was extremely impressed with the kind of service provided by Camel Dive to assist you with whatever your problem or issue. Unfortunately, I checked in very sick into the hotel and was stuck in my room for the first three days! I had caught a bug from my trip to Cairo and when I got worse at the hotel, we requested for medical help. The hotel cordially arranged for an on-call doctor who was very good. Yet, my condition did not show immediately results so we requested for a taxi to the hospital. Camel Dive’s staff immediately arranged for transport for me which was on the house and the driver even refused to take a tip since he was sorry to see me so sick. Now, that is called caring staff! My brother and his wife had some issues with their visa and the hotel promptly assisted them, free of charge, by sending someone with them to guide and help them.
We weren’t expecting this kind of service from a three star hotel after we had spent the first week in Sharm at a 5 star, which did not even come close to Camel Dive’s quality of service, to say the least. Rest of the time we spent there, we were serviced at restaurants and Camel Roof Bar by really sweet and smiling staff. We ate at all of the restaurants in Camel and I can definitely vouch for the quality of food there. Tandoori was a bit of a disappointment, since I am an Indian and I expect a lot from an Indian restaurant, but considering the other options one gets around in Na’ama Bay, I guess you can give Tandoori a fair chance and decide for yourself. Pomodoro is a good restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Some of the sandwiches in Don Pannino are very good but definitely not all. The highlight of our stay was Camel Roof Bar, which was always cozy and alive with people! They play good music and serve good cocktails, drinks and snacks from the hotel’s restaurants. We used to kick back and enjoy our evenings at Camel Bar which is a stark contrast to most of the other bars in Na’ama Bay that have touts hanging around the empty bars, with deafening music, trying to drag you into these mindless & tasteless places.
The hotel rooms are very basic without frills with clean and well functioning bathrooms. They have free WIFI (which is hard to find even in the so called five star hotels with all the facilities) and offer you a free basket of fresh fruits in the room. Really impressive for such a little hotel! The hotel can get noisy because of its central location, therefore, I would recommend carrying ear plugs – they really helped me get sound sleep!
I will definitely return to this hotel. Unfortunately, we could not use the diving facilities but that was only because I was ill. My friends staying with us used the diving trips and only had good things to say. We will definitely use their diving trips to different locations next time we are there. We are really looking forward to it, actually!
Room Tip: Get a pool facing room - very cozy
