“Sea View Rooms”

On arrival at 1245 we were shown to our extra charge "sea view room". The room did have a sea view. just. but in between was a sewage farm and a rubbish tip, the room itself started to fill with flies as soon as the balcony doors were open. From the balcony you could see the building site which Thomson's told me in a post travel e-mail had "low impact" on guests. It would do as the room was on the other side of the resort from the main part. We went to reception and complained and was told another room would be available at 3pm then 4pm then 5pm and eventually at 6pm when everyone was getting ready to go out for the evening we got a room...no sea view, but no rubbish tip or sewage farm. Still trying to get a refund from Thomson's for the "Sea view " extra charge but no joy. They keep bouncing you from one office to the other. The hotel itself is lovely and the staff are great, but this ruined the rest of the holiday for us. The rooms are adequate but finished to a low standard, water in the bathroom is tepid, but the house keepers are great. This hotel is no comparison to the Sensatori Tenerife.

Room Tip: The rooms beginning with 4*** are to be avoided, best rooms begin with 1*** and 2*** Thomson's d...

“DISAPPOINTED”

First of all i would like to say i stayed at this hotel before it was the SENSATORI and before the new refurbishment. i now have mixed feelings about this hotel.i travelled with friends, 4 ladies together, we got there to find the sea view was overlooking what i can only describe as a building site,so we complained but had to wait 4 days to move to the main building.the rooms are lovely, but have a few minor problems, like no electric plug near a mirror, only in the bathroom.(important if you want to use tongs etc).our room was kept spotless, our cleaner was called RAGAB and he was so kind and nothing was to much trouble.our room was 2513.
the balcony was not very private.
The main restaurant was also spotless, there was not much variety in the food, but there was a pasta station, asian station, and other stations cooking other foods, but the main complaint
was the food was not always hot, which was sad because this lets this restaurant down, and
the waiters are fantastic, always joking with you, especially, islam, ezz, mohammed and samantha to name but a few.
the speciality restaurants are lovely and you must give them a visit, shame about the way you have to book them, queuing up at 9.45 a.m.
No need to get up early for a sun bed there is plenty.the childrens pool has lots to occupy them.shoots etc.
one last word dont visit the hairdressers, they dont speak english,i had to talk to the owner
on the phone to tell them what i wanted, i did not let him cut my hair !!!!!!!!!!
The staff are all great, the rooms are lovely, may go back in a few years time.

Room Tip: dont ask for block 4, the main building is good high floor.

“A Great holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

Just returned from the Sensatori sharm el shiekh after a ten day stay . went here 5 years ago when it was the Conrad and it was shocking. the hotel has had extensive work done on it since then and was very nice.
we found the checking in process was fine and painless and our room was amazing , hands down best room we have stayed in and we have travelled plenty.
we found it very clean and had no problems with cleanliness during our stay our cleaner Hasan did a fantastic job, and you are in control if you want it doing press a button near the bed this lights up a light outside your door and it will be cleaned.
general hotel cleanliness is good and on entering the restaurants there are alcogel points for your hands . the only issue i had was at breakfast when we dined a little later and some of the tables we sat at still had crumbs on but had been re set.
during our stay neither of us had any health issues and didnt hear of any problems.
we found the alcohol beer and shorts absolutely fine, whereas when it was the conrad it was undrinkable . the service is really good and staff were really attentive in all restaurants and bars apart from the lobby bar. especially the beach bar in the adults section and on the beach the chaps come round every half hour or so to offer drinks.
tipping is not expected but i did tip my cleaner and the staff as i saw fit , these guys work 12 hours a day non stop for our enjoyment and relaxation.
there are seven restaurants in the hotel ,
the Asian and Asian tepanyaki & stonegrill (steak) , which are chargeable we ate out once and the bill was around £40 for starter, main and dessert for 2 people .
there is the italian casa bianca which was fantastic, the middle eastern which was good,
the american which was good and the main fountain view buffet restaurants which are all included.
the main buffet restaurant was not bad and you wont go hungry but i found a lot of the food repeated and not as good as the special restaurants, or in fact as good as some other hotels i've stayed in .
the booking process for the special restaurants is annoying as you can only book three days in advance and have to do it via machines in reception/ and near the piano bar. so each morning there is a queue at each machine and if you've not booked by 10.30 ish then the included restaurants are fully booked . there has to be a better way than this because you will spend half hour everyday of your holiday queing and this isnt good.
the beach is nice enough and the sea is fantastic, for snorkelling or scuba .
we used the dive centre having never done scuba before and loved it Dan was amazing and put us right at ease we loved it. there are loads of beach beds and at no time were we unable to get a bed even going to the beach at 10am !
the hotel caters mostly for english people although there were a few italians and a couple of russians there during our stay.
even with the negative points i have put down we still had a great time and would definately go back.

“Great hotel fish amazing”

We were wowed by this hotel when we arrived. The food and restaurant facilities didn't disappoint. Probably the best we have experienced with all inclusive and we have tried a few! The pasta station deserves the praise as my daughter and I could have eaten here all week! The pools and sun beds were great. The kids pool was fantastic and it was possible to get beds here any time of day. The fish in the sea were so amazing I had to keep going back in for another look! We will definitely return here, great weather and he perfect retreat.
