Overall the hotel is excellent ,But having recentley switched to all inclusive packages /hb the hotel has a deffinite two tier level of both service and food , lobby bar does not serve all inclusive customers but will serve paying customers alcohol, the evening entertainment is held here .The beach bar /grill also serves two tier food ,basic burgers and pitzas larger size portions and better quality for paying qnuests, also waiters round the pool have been instucted to only serve paying customers with drinks all inclusive guests have to go to the bar . Staff are excellant and can not help you enough Polina mahmoud mohamid ahmet ,rafek are all a big assett to this hotel and also the towel chair man at the innfinity pool you were all superb ,We have travelled to egypt 4 times now the hotel is good rooms very clean and well kept but please you need to sort out this allinclusive issue

Room Tip: ask for pool view room

“Not the place to stay for vegetarians”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Having returned from a week stay at the Cleopatra I was disappointed at the quality of food available. The hotel itself is beautiful and very relaxing but due to the food I am giving it a 2 rating rather than 5.

I paid extra for the full board package but on most days had lunch and dinner outside of the hotel. The breakfast was fine with the usual offerings but lunch and dinner was terrible. Being a vegetarian and having travelled to many countries getting a good quality meal can sometimes be difficult but not impossible and you usually fine adequate food.

On the first night having just arrived and checked in we were rather very hungry and were actually angry that there was only one pasta dish available that we could eat. When the chef served us he warmed the sauce in the same pan he used to warm a meat sauce , and when we said you have to use a different pan, he poured the sauce back into the serving container , put some water on the pan and then warmed the sauce again! It was difficult to communicate with the chefs as their english is not so good, so we just left and ended up walking to the supermarket to just eat snacks and retired to our room.

We did speak to the food and beverage manager about this and told him you should be using seperate utensils when serving vegetarian food and the next day he had a meeting with all his staff informing them of this and told us that we should tell them what we want to eat and they will make for us, however only 2 options were available which was grilled vegetables and pasta, so I feel let down after paying full board when I was only having breakfast. Also in the buffet its usually the norm that all foods are labelled so we know what they are, that was not the case here. Soft drinks are not included in FB , and a glass of coke was usually around £2.50 mark

“February 2012”

This is the second time we have now stayed at The Cleopatra Luxury Resort. Last year we went Half Board, However this year chose All Inclusive. We had a pleasant stay. The weather was not great however the Hotel still met our expectations. The food on the all inclusive menu was good, the beach bar menu was however limited. The service was good , however I found the service on Half Board better. We met a gentleman called Ibrahim Moustafa who worked on the front desk of the hotel. He is a friendly gentleman and always welcomed us to the hotel with a warm greeting, he always offered to drive us to our room or to the main gates as they were a slight walk away. He was courteous and very friendly and we enjoyed his company. Overall the holiday was good, it would of been made better subject to the weather been better. However this is a good hotel and I do recommend this. However if I was to come again, I would chose to come Half Board.

“Luxury Honeymoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

This review is a bit late but the hotel deserves to still get the review.

My husband & I stayed at the Cleopatra Luxury Resort Hotel back in March last year for our honeymoon.

We had the most amazing time & would highly recommend it to anyone.

The hotel wasn't at full capacity which did mean certain things were not open but it was still a new hotel & we couldn't fault the hotel, it's staff or the food.

Reception: We were greeted at reception with a complimentary drink while we checked in. The reception area was lovely, there was a bar with tables & chairs & a small area were they held occasional entertainment. The reception staff were very friendly, always happy to help us with getting change, contacting our rep etc.

Room: Our room was beautiful, comfy bed nice furniture, great shower. We did have a slight problem with water leaking out but we just put a towel down & it was no problem. Also we had to ask for our complimentary water on the odd occasion but we were always apologised to & the water was brought to our room. We occasionally had things made out of towels on our beds & flowers brought in which was a lovely touch. We did have a patio outside our room with beds & a table but we never really used it.

Pool(s): We generally used the main pool by the reception area but did wander down to the infinity pool once or twice. Lovely view but we just preferred the other pool. The pool boy Eslam was brilliant, so friendly & very happy to help. He always took our towels to our beds & put the parasol up. He worked very hard but was always very happy & friendly. The beds were very comfy & there was plenty of them. They did have aerobics in the pool, the staff asked you to join in but weren't pushy.

Beach: We didn't spend too much time on the beach as it was far too hot down there. We did walk down though later on in the afternoons & walked along the jetty. The red flag was out most of the time but my husband did go in for a snorkle before we left. There was a few games of beach volleyball which was fun.

Bar / Nightclub: The bar was great, it had a pool table & a dart board. There was a few comfy couches outside where you could order a shisha pipe. There wasn't really much going on in there, they did have some quiz / karaoke nights which were good fun. The nightclub wasn't open as there wasn't enough people but a few of us bargained with the entertainment lady to open it up if we joined in with her karaoke so we had a couple of good nights in there.Hamid was great, friendly & helpful & always happy.

Restaurant(s): The main restaurant was fantastic. There was always loads of choice. Breakfast was cereals, cooked breakfasts, croissants, cakes, yoghurts, fruit etc. The highlight was the fresh omlettes made how you want them & the freshly squeezed orange juice that Almar used to bring for us. For dinner again there was loads of choice, soups, pasta dishes, fresh meat & then some themed dishes. Loads of desserts to choose from too. Ahmed always made us feel very welcome, remembering our names & what drinks we had. We were also brought plates of fresh fruit but sometimes we were full & felt guilty not eating them.

Spa / Gym: The gym was small but was high quality equipment. We did use it in the first few days but then our good intentions slipped. The spa was amazing, we had full body massages, facials & I also had a manicure & pedicure. Haggle on prices as you will get a better deal.

Staff: The staff made this hotel - Hamid in the pool bar, Almar & Ahmed in the buffet restaurant & Eslam the pool guy who we are still in touch with. They were all very friendly but left you alone if you didn't want to be bothered. They really looked after us & went out of there way to be nice & polite. There was only 1 guy that we had a problem with, he wasn't from the hotel he was from a tour group & he came to us every day & asked but we just said no thank you & he walked away. He seemed to not remember us every day but we told him every day that we were on honeymoon & just wanted to relax. We found it quite funny really, the rest were great we said no thanks & they left us alone but still waved & said hello when passing.

All in all it was a fantastic holiday & we would love to return in the future.

“My stay @ CLEOPATRA”

Nice hotel with a good design and with a top location. I had the chance to be welcomed there by a very nice person, Mr Ibrahim.....He knows about service, believe me ! This guy is a reception crew on his own. Also less nice things in this property : food is not good and rooms are not that clean (some little visitors in bathroom !) One question : why no bathtube and only a shower ? So a mix from good and bad @ CLEOPATRA.
Last advice ; better forget about massages in this hotel !
