This is a 3* hotel so don't expect the ritz BUT I found the place to be spacious, clean and well maintained. All the staff were happy and friendly and you had plenty of drinks choices (including bottled water) as part of the all inclusive package.

Yes the food could be better, buts its fine, and for £2 you can go out for an amazing meal.

Plenty of entertainment and things to do either at the hotel or a 30 second walk from the hotel.

You must go snorkelling on a boat trip and have a full on massage - don't forget to go haggling for everything its always fun if exhausting work!!

The hotel has a fab location and only 15 mins from the airport. For what you get its a bargain!!!! Can't wait to go back to Egypt :-)

I stayed at waves resort From11/5/07 to 25/5/07.The hotel itself was situated in the middle of town with all the shops,resturants,bars and clubs.
The hotel was of an average standard that you would expect of a cheap holiday in spain.The two pools where ok.The beach was quite clean.
The bar staff were very friendly and helpful and all spoke english which was very helpful as most of the guests at the hotel were Russian.The Russian guests i found very rude.
The rooms where cleaned to a very good standard.If you tip the cleaner, when you come back to the room you will find flowers in your room plus towels folded in to the shape of swans with flower petals etc.
All in all the staff at the resort were very friendly especially if you are english and i was made to feel very welcome.
The food was ok but very repetetive ,bbqs 3 times a week out by the pools and on the jetty(marina if you are Egyptian)For a small price of $10.
Ther entertainment was ok ,There were activities all day long, Darts,Pool footall etc.And in the evenings Belly dancing,African show etc.
All in all i would recommend waves resort for a nice cheap holiday.At the end of the day a holiday is what you make it.

I stayed at waves beach resort in Hurghada eygpt 04/05/07 till 18/05/07. I would not recomed this resort to any other person. The food is the same day in day out and every time i ate there i was ill the next day with the runs. Not just me but others as well. The hotel is under refurbishment at the moment and is going to be going on all year.

When traveling with young girls i would not let them go to the bar as the staff pass them letter asking them to meet them outside the hotel and go for drinks and then ask them to marry them funny i know they lear at young girls which is not on.

The pool bar is the only bat that if your all in you can drink at but the pool its self was dirty and not fit for people to swimm in.

I could not put photos on of the beach as there are things floating in the water that one should just not see. The staff when you complain treat you like **** as there told that you are not happy. I would never stay in this resort ever again as it might at first look clean but its not in the first week alone i had to have 3 new fridges as each one broke down the air con flooded my room out one day. Try and have a shower or shower a young child is not possible as the water starts at a good temp then go's cold then RED hot and can burn you or your child. This is just the tip of the ice berge with this resort. I would not recomend if you are staying here to have a pool view as you will be woken at 6 am each morning with the staff getting ready for the day.

What you see is what you get, been to egypt twice before so aware of their way of life. this hotel is the pits, big time. the rooms are really really bad, we had sewage coming up from our toilet floor. hygiene does not apply to this place and it is a shame as the location is good and the staff are excellent very accomodating and try hard. but you cant expect any other than this place is a substanded 1* sespit.
I stayed with my Husband sister and her Husband and this has put them of from ever returning. oh and be aware the hotel rep will lie to sell the trips.
