“Excellent family hotel at nice location with friendly and diligent staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2011

We have just returned from our one week long holiday what we enjoyed very much in Hurghada at Palm Beach Hotel.
The hotel is located “outside” of Hurghada, and I would recommend for those who look for relaxation, fun, funny activities and are interested in water sports too. We stayed in the new part of the hotel, in a family room with two sections. I can say for four of us it was cosy, clean (yes very clean thanks to our smiling and diligent cleaning guy and his boss) and well equipped. Meals are served at two major locations, and in these restaurants you can expect good variety of tasty international food like well prepared cold starters, balanced main courses, beef dishes, wide variety of vegetable garnishes, and nice selection of deserts too. You may find the breakfast boring that could be a point to improve if I can say. The hotel has three bars where cold and hot drinks, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served. Try the local light draft beer which can be refreshing treatment to calm dawn thirsty or sometimes upset stomach. Or you can choose from the non alcoholic cocktails, the ones with Guava juice are really popular.
The place was mainly populated by Russians, Hungarians, Germans, and French too. Benelux countries were also represented at evenings. The hotel has an animation team, led by Nasser who is probably one of the “local” icon of Palm Beach resort. He is the Chief of Animation, belly dancer (just imagine this tall and thin joker guy surrounded by belly dancing bikini girls and mothers by the pool bar). He conducts; I should say, nice entertaining shows. I wish the other animation team members could keep up with him. Tito, the other fun maker certainly can.
One day we had dance show performed by the whole animation team (the Russian animator girl is an amazing pretty dancer) on other days we laughed on competitions for Miss Palm Beach or Best Couple Awards for example. (well some parts can be recommended to adults only...) Overall the hotel animation team will look after your kids, and will entertain you all day and evening too. Sport activities, water polo, gymnastics, volley ball will keep you fit every day.
You can scuba dice or snorkel with the professional Aquarius ( they have an outlet at the Hotel) team or you can even try these activities for free during their demo sessions by the larger pool. I can recommend their trips and diving programs too. We listened to their walking salespeople and we gave a try and we keep good memories. The banana boat is a must or you can be accompanied by vivid dolphins at the shallow water in the bay too. No joke!
If you want to go the hotel’s beach you can, or you can relax by one of the two pools. Your kids can enjoy the water safely all day long, while you can also have rest and drinks in the shade. Have a henna tattoo with Tomy, he is amazing, entertaining multi language speaking man, loved by young girls and their wallet holding mothers too.
The hotel has a very diligent staff, working day and night, serving, cleaning, smiling, chatting, and celebrating kids with birthday. Their blue shirted supervisors are always there to support and monitor. In the main restaurant you can feel that they care. Even the chefs are coming your regularly to test and survey guest satisfaction personally.
In the hotel bazaar you can find necessary items, quality jewellery and souvenirs. The shop owner and his main assistant are really pleasant, trustworthy salesmen. If you decide to go outside the hotel has minibus service to and from bazaar areas and even you can travel with them to further destinations like Luxor or even Cairo.
Well, if you have family you can be sure you will like it, if you do not like listen kid’s laugh then choose a hotel closer to the city. You need to be open to a special blend of European nations, where certainly Russia is well represented. (I should say Egypt is not the only place, where you can experience it.)
Please note one of my tips: to smooth things out in advance please use wisely the old bakshish to grease the mechanism. Please give one-two Euro to the bellboy, waiters or to the cleaning boy. Even recognise their positive attitude afterwards. In this part of the world, in this culture it is a normal daily routine. Please enjoy this also.
Anyway, at Palm Beach Hotel Hurghada definitely you will enjoy some positive guest experience which will make your entire family stay for a remarkable and memorable holiday. It is a worthy Hotel.

Room Tip: Remember my recommendation on bakshish. If you ar enot happy with the room please aks for alternativ...

Loved the the atmosphere and our stay in this hotel . The staff from the reception to the chefs to the beach boys to the market and the animation team were very friendly and helpful . Though we struggled as vegetarians for lunch and dinner :( . There are good diving trips from this Hotel and would definitely recommend to visit .

“Avarage hotel in ugly environment”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2011

This hotel is OK, but it is very very avarage provided that is claims to be a 4* hotel. The room was clean but outdated, enviroment was kept nicely but a bit claustrofobic, beach was overpacked with old fashion wooden chairs, simple sport activities were aimed mainly on Hungarian guests, evening activities were cheap, food was plenty but avarage/low quality, and the areas outside of the hotel were really ugly - building sides. The 3* maximum. The staff was numerous (overpacked with young boys...apparently Egyptians did not discover gender balance at work place yet), but our holiday feeling and general good impression was spoiled mainly by the fact that some of the staff was very rude and their behaviour was latently arogant....Not good enough for a pleasant holiday. The holiday makers were mainly from eastern Europe. Some of our SK counterparts were happy with the hotel but it is certainly not good enough for more demaning clients. We are surely not coming back.

“Simply the best choice for the holidays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2010

Stuff / services:
- friendly
- quick
- reliable
- smailing
- no annoying offer
- no pickings, tips only

Excellent food - every day was different dinner (international, italian, german, ...). Best of all: frech fries, mashed potatos, chicken or veal in batter, great pasta, delicious icecream, cheap fresh juice (only $2), some coctails, little donuts, puddings.

Beach and pools:
- clean (beach and sea / pools)
- enough beach umbrellas (if you can't find, they find it for you)
- quiet (divided to 4 sections + 2 pools)
- 3 bars (snacks, drinks and coctails, free icecream some days)

Room - perfectly clean, everything working, comfortable. Daily cleaned to last sand grain. Room view out is possibly a single negative - from some roomes you can view courtyard or constrution next hotel beside this hotel. Room change is possible, if is any other free (can be problem :)) You can use sat TV with same europe channels, fridge (2 waters daily free - very good), hairdryer, aircondition (room regulation, but quite noisy, missing timer).
