“Nice small hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

I went for a short business trip to Hurghada. Stayed for couple of days in mid January which is a low season in Hurghada.
The location is brilliant. It is in the Sheraton road which is the connection between down town area with all the shops and markets and the touristic road with all the attractions. The reception staffs are the best smiling, efficient and neat. Room was spacious with an LCD television but boring channels. Bathroom was good with quality supplies.
The worse experience was the breakfast which made me happy that I only paid for B&B. Despite the low season and the dinning area is nearly empty the service was terrible. Lots of staff but doing nothing barley someone may respond to you. Also, a very nosy cat was wondering between tables while we eat!!
But to be fair the food was fine and combination of oriental and continental breakfast.
Beach was beautiful and clean but small. This was not a problem as the guests were minimum mostly old nice German people.
Overall experience was good.

“A retreat after a weeks diving”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Stayed here for one night after a week on a Regal Dive boat where we dived around Marsa and Hurghada. After a week in a small cabin the rooms seemed enormous and the bed was lovely and comfortable. The hotel was very clean and the restaurants gave a delicious wide range of international food. The pool was very clean and nice and cold

“Very Enjoyable Stay”

Stayed here for a week in January with my wife, very clean hotel with very polite and friendly staff.
The only irritating thing is they charge you for internet connection in the room but wifi is free down in the cafe lobby ??? I just don't get it.
Location is perfect as there are two main area's for bars and restuarants and the Marriott is smack bang in the middle.
Taxi rank right outside the hotel foyer and if your unsure about getting in one the the bellboy will arrange a hotel registered one.
I cannot stress enough how excellent the staff were.

“Very pleasant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

The Hotel is 16 years Old. The room have been done but bathrooms are still the old ones and seem not to have been touched. The hotel lacks warmth but the staff are very well trained and helpful. We stayed for a week which was a bit long given the fact that the sea was still quite cold. We were on MAP. Buffets for breakfast and Dinner. Breakfast was a bit dull, dinner ok although most of the time only the name of the theme changed, the content of the food not. Nevertheless the food was good. Here was a cooking station which was very good.
Beach was well maintained but one could see the pollution of the Red Sea
Beach bar was excellent with small food outlet for pizzas etc.
Hurghada is bait of a sad tte. With the exception of some expensive resorts such as El Gouna it seems pretty run down. Lots of abandoned hotel and Condo development.
People are holding up very well inspite of the current political situation. it still is very safe.

Room Tip: All rooms are with sea view. Try to get one overlooking the beach, not the pool

“Loved the Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

We stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved the rooms, the service etc we dint use much of as we were pretty well looked after by our travel agent, but the resort and its beach is brilliant.
The breakfast buffet was also good although i wish they did change their menu, we stayed there for 3 days and frankly having the same side orders can get a bit boring and you would expect marriott to have a bit more creativity.
