Last week my boyfriend and I stayed at the Mercure Hotel. All rooms are renovated since last year. The photos on the website: what you see = what you get :-D.

Khalil of the housekeeping made sure our rooms stayed neat & tidy.

You can aspect high quality service. The waiters are very kind especially Hany Ramdan.

Olga of the front office has been very helpfull. We relaxed at the pool and the private beach is a nice location. It is very windy so bring warm clothing with you during winter time.

We also had a honeymoon massage by Dodo& Achmed, very relaxing and highly recommended.

This was our second time we visited Egypt, we knew there is only one street in Cairo were the demonstrations are going on. This very far away from Hurghada.

At the end of our stay we noticed a Papyrus shop with very special art on it like glitters and glow in the dark. During our first trip (Nile Cruise excusions holiday) we have seen many papyrus but nothing like this!

You can find it behind the bows near the reception, it is difficult to find, you can recognize it by the statues in front of the door.

As we were one of the first clients of Isropa, we met Mohammed our tour guide. He was very friendly and gave good advises. His Dutch language is perfect! The booking agency made a little mistake with our seats, please check these carefully.

All the people we have met love tourists from Europe. As a European, be prepared to be pampered!

Nice colourful rooms, friendly and politenstaff, also as woman i felt very safe. buffet ok, don't expect too much. The beach area was very nice and empty. All inclusive also includes the alcoholical drinks. I suggest they keep this better under control. So i met very polite egyptians, but drunken tourists. New Year's Eve was fun, wit tourists from all over the world, also a bit loud. Only thing negative: the sometimes loud sound from the pool animation program, which was disturbing the quiteness of tehe sound of the see. And the drunken tourist. But this can happen every where where alcohol is offered unlimited. Diving was ok, (our ship drove into another, and the diving guide was quite under stress, even if not coming to dive))but don't expect anything nearly similar to the really professional diving organisations from e.g Werner Lau, so also here without too big expectations, it is ok. All in all worth it's money, especially if you have booked a cheap travel program! I will return to egypt one day, next time i try the moevenpick or oasis for more professional diving experiences.

My holiday stay at Mercure Hotel Hurghada in Egypt the week before Christmas 2011 exceeded my expectation. After staying in approximately 45 different hotels in 20 countries over the years, this hotel was, in my opinion, the very best. I already recommended this hotel for other Danish travelers.

There remarkable, all in greens, the big territory.
Excellent beach, good calling in the sea.
A good, various food.
Many thanks to all personnel of hotel, to an animation command which always entertains having a rest, to cooks who prepare tasty dishes and sweets would be desirable to tell,
To barmen, for their very tasty cocktails.
Separately it would be desirable to thank Mr. Hassana who prepares the most tasty cocktails!!!
This year in hotels have made repair, now it became even better.
