Although situated across the road from its sister (and much more expensive) hotel the Steigenberger Al Dau Beach, it's only a 5 min walk to the lovely private beach, and there's a golf cart ride if you're feeling lazy. The road you have to cross looks very busy on Google Earth, but things have changed and it's now a quiet block-paved backwater. There is a row of shops just to the right of the hotel gate, including a pharmacy.
Excellent beach with gently shelving sand (also ok for sandcastles), good bar, ok food, lovely toilets. Music at beach and hotel is low key,easy-listening and pleasant volume.
Hotel itself is clean and very nice. Staff are excellent, all very polite and helpful, and the manager greets you personally when you arrive! Rooms are spacious, comfy and well furnished. Bathrooms very good with powerful showers in glass cubicle. Beds comfy (rather firm) with duvets (don't know if this is all year but imagine a bit too hot in summer?)
The all-inc drinks are full strength and normal tasting. Not all bars have draught beer and the canned is a bit gassy and bland. The food is pretty good; plenty of fresh veg and salads, lovely bread, good choice of desserts and fruit. I don't know why but I often found the main dishes (always at least one meat plus fish) lacking something I can't explain (some were very over-salted), and found myself frequently filling up on the lovely soups and bread! But no real complaint and no upset tummies!
A nice location about 15-20 mins drive from the airport, nice gardens and pool area. For what we paid I was quite impressed and would go back again. In January the wind can be a bit strong and nippy in the evenings, but during the day it was sunny almost every day and well up into the mid 20s C.

I booked this hotel as a surprise for my husbands 65th birthday, and what a great choice it was.
The hotel was very clean, with comfortable bedrooms. The food was outstanding, plenty of choice,no upset tummies in this hotel. The staff were friendly throughout the hotel, but special praise must go to Ali and Mahmood in the restaurant, always helpful and smiling. They made our stay very special. Animation team kept the evenings fun and Dimitri made sure we danced off the abundance of food.
We would recommend this hotel to any age group.

That was a great choice. To be honest we took this one, just because of the price. Basically it was pretty cheap compared to other hotel. First, the restaurant was just AWESOME! Huge variety of dishes and very tasty. Breakfast, lunches and dinners were just amazing. Very helpful staff, especially in the restaurant. Maybe not the newest, but really clean bedrooms. The hotel does not have a direct access to the beach, but it is possible to use a nearby private beach of a partner hotel. No problem about that. Two swimming pools, cafes, mini golf, table tennis, tennis courts… If we ever go back to Hurghada, definitely will choose this one!

its my second stay there and i have gone to many other places in Hurghada. this time, I went with my family for a 2 days short stay. the food is not only excellent but also the best. Kid club was wonderful for he girls and thanks to Katya in the animation team. A lot of other amusements as Buccia (thanks the young man from Ukraine, sorry do not remember the name), Table tennis (thanks selim), the Bar tender on the big Pool is very friendly (Thanks Shenouda). the whole staff in the Restaurant are really friendly. Mr Hussain fawzy in reservation was sincere and gave us the best price by phone. Mr. Mahmoud in reception gave us a very nice landing at the hotel. Its really surprising to remember all these names after a short stay. the Staff is Amazing and is the main reason to come back again
