nIce spacious rooms, top service, excellent food, very friendly staff. The best hotel we stayed in for a long time. But expensive internet !

Stayed in this Steigenberger from 12-19th of August, together with my mother visiting me in Egypt. The hotel manages to create a boutique feel - although it's a fairly big complex, it never gives you this impression tough.
Hotel guests mainly include Germans (of course) and French, and an exceptional Belgian expat living in Egypt - that's me ;-)
The food is definitely 5-star, like you find in the other Steigenberger in Hurghada.
Location is at the wonderful creeks you find in El Gouna all over the place. Hourly boat trip is provided to the beach.
For younger people, looking for party or entertainment is not a good choice - rather go to Sharm or Hurghada then.
On small suggestion for improvement: the staff could be less formal and smile somewhat more.
Pls also note that the road from Cairo to El Gouna has some speedcameras :-)

Great hotel, the pools are good, while the beach is fine, on the lagoons around the hotel, and on the open sea where they share a beach with club med.

despite the fair price for the rooms, I got a great service.
very nice views the food is great. they have a very high standards in the services they provide. I opened my labtop within my vacation to write down those lines, as i want everyone searching for a good accomodation and loverly quite place for a vacation to enjou this place.
