“Great atmosphere”

My girlfriend and I spend 8 days in the great resort and also celebrated new Year’s evening in Daniela Village. On the new years eve a very nice diner was prepared, we enjoyed traditional live Bedouin music, a traditional dancer, two belly dancers, and fireworks.
We also got our Padi Open Water Certificate in the Daniela diving school.
We experienced the resort as very relaxed and friendly. We were welcomed very friendly and the staff was very hospitable. Snorkeling on the “house reef” was great, nice fishes and beautiful coral. The room was very spacious and clean. A little bit old though.
The food was good and prepared with love. The cook was always available to answer questions, and for advising on what to eat. Broad buffet, fresh food.

The attached diving school is also very convenient. We booked our Padi Open Water on beforehand and the day after our arrival we started. We did the course with totally 3 people, so it was a personal and well organized course. The school organizes various trips/safaris to nice diving location.

Unfortunately we had to leave after 8 days, but the goodbye was great. Almost the full staff stood outside to wish us safe travels. Very personal and warm.

Room Tip: Depending on your needs. If you like more privacy, book a room on the first floor. If you like to op...

“real peace and quiet”

Went here in November. This is the best place for real chill out, just relax by the sea and listen to the waves or watch the camels go by.Its so quiet you can easily fall asleep on your sunbed. It does get windy this time of year. The hotel staff are very friendly and will help if you have a query. All rooms have sea view which is nice. Lots of lovely cats around the grounds. Looking forward to our return same time next year.Chris and Jane.

“Quiet and with wonderful house reef”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

My wife and I went here for the first time in the third week of October 2011 and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of this rather small hotel. Staff were friendly, although not to much higher degree than in other Egyptian hotels (this was our 8th time in Egypt) and the food was reasonable. I really cannot think of a reason why the food is rated so highly in other reviews. If you are not in the restaurant - which is not very cosy - during the first hour dinner is served, you will find that the food is not hot anymore and that some of the dishes are finished! If it had not been for this, this review would have been a five-star(circle?) ranking!
The house reef is marvellous; you can see all kinds of fish there and breath-taking colourful corals to tip it all off! It is not too deep either, especially not at low tide. High tide means the deepest parts measure some two and a half metres. Generally, it has a depth of about one metre and this enables you to just float by and take wonderful underwater pictures... The water stayed clear, in spite of the sometimes strong wind that was blowing this time of year.
Like snorkelling and the underwater world...? Go there!!

“A Pearl on the Sinai”

We just returned from a 14 days holiday at Daniela Dahab and having stayed in Dahab for the third time ( the first time at Daniela) we have to say this has been a unique experience for us ( a couple) and our mother.
The hotel is seated behind one of the best beaches in Dahab, the house reef is just as sensationel as any of the other high ranked diving spots in the area, and there is an easy entry to a sort of lagoon, were you can swim at high and low tides.
The rooms are simple but clean and spacious, ground floor units have a terrace, first floor rooms a balcony, the air condition works brilliant and without too much noise.
In the main building are two billiard tabels, a table tennis table and a small library.
Trips to Dahab can be easily organised through the reception.
Since the hotel is not too large there is a very private and relaxing athosphere.
But the biggest treasure in the hotel are the management and the staff.
Mr. Hagag and the rest of the management (reception) team simply made us feel so welcome, you might think you stayed with your own family. For example we can´t thank them enough how they prepared my wife´s birthday during the dinner in the desert, my mother´s trip to St.Catherine and all the other help they gave us during our stay.
And not only the management team is absolutly top, all the other staff is quite as sensationel,
rooms were made in no time and whomever you saw, there was always a smile on their face and enough time for a short chat.
If you come to the Daniela, try to spot Mr.Mohamed, he´s one of the most cheerful guys we ever met, always smiling, always helpful, always working, an employee any hotel would wish to have, and all that combined with a friendliness we´ll never forget.
Thank´s again for waving the egyptian flag when we had to leave, but I´m afraid you´ll have to do it again, as we sure will visit the Daniela Dahab again.
