The girlfriend weekends at the Golden Inn are amazing! The price is right for this all inclusive get away. The food was wonderful, and if you get great weather, which we did, we had a few nice days on the beach, out of season, and away from the crowds!
The room was comfortable, and the entertainment was awesome. What a great experience we had, we met some great folks, and the staff at the Golden Inn was very accommodating.

Wow! Remember staying at the shore when you were a kid? Well, take a trip back to the Golden Inn! On the beach, lots of people, motels and resturaunts! It was great for a weekend away!
Lots of people use the rooms, so sure, they may be a bit worn in places, but they were clean! You are at the shore!!! Relax..sit on the patio with a beer! Enjoy the ocean breeze.

Front staff..very nice. When my husband wanted a bait shop they actually printed directions! I was impressed!
Overall, It was great! We will be back especially for their wine weekends.

I just had my wedding hosted at the Golden Inn, besides it being one of the best weekends in New Jersey in a long time. The Staff at the Golden Inn did an excellent job! If you want a beach wedding in New Jersey have it here! The wedding coordinator and all the rest of the staff helped me with every detail. They made sure ALL my guests were taken care of and if there was a complaint about the room they took it seriously and helped fix the problem. The food was excellent, the chef did an amazing job on the buffet dinner I had, everything was fresh, tender and tasted so good! I wish I could have ate more at my wedding but that's the down fall of being the bride. The breakfast buffet was amazing the morning after... I got my fill then. It was great just walking out of the backdoor and walking right to the beach. The prices are a little high, but everything in Avalon is priced high.

I stayed here a couple days for an off-site meeting for work. It's right next to the beach, and is a good sized hotel amongst a town of beach homes... but it seems and feels outdated. Although some areas, such as the bar, seem to have recently undergone some renovations - most of the hotel is sorely in need of work. My room was not super dirty, but it's a ton of small details that add up to an unpleasant experience. Call me a snob if you want, but I simply don't like going to a hotel and feel uncomfortable or afraid to touch the environment. Examples include... rusted clothes lines, bathroom hardware (faucets, knobs, etc) that are not only dated but also not shiny (ie, doesn't seem clean). Shower curtains with mold and mildew on them, poorly maintained countertops and tiles, carpets in need of serious cleaning, and a few cobwebs in the room. Even things like the hallway carpets, elevators, and stairways seem rundown.

When I first got to my room, the A/C was off. I turned it on later that evening and found all night that I had sinus problems. I turned of the A/C the next day and the problems went away. I can't confirm that mold in the air filter was there, but I certainly would not be surprised.

I didn't have a ton of interaction with the staff... check in/out, bartender, wait staff in the restaurant... but they were friendly and helpful. No real complaints on that front.

If it's up to me, I won't be back.
