This was a very nice hotel from outside and a beautiful logy and entrance. Perfect location in the middle of the busy street with several bars and restaurants, shopping as well as the pier. The rooms were comfortable but very obviously renovated on top of the old fixtures and tubs and so on which did not make it any less comfortable. Be careful there is a school yard right behind the hotel and the kids play basketball after school until around 7:30pm so you feel very much part of their game if you were planning to rest after a long work day. The food at the restaurant was exquisite especially the tuna steak but very expensive compared to everywhere else. It is much cheaper to order an entire bottle of wine than to order two glasses because their definition of a glass of wine is what you would normally get for tasting the wine. The hotel entrance is only accessible by stairs and no one offered to help carry the luggage to the main entrance. Also if you need to Iron anything there are no in room facilities and they charge good money for it but the service is fast. Free wireless internet everywhere is great and the breakfast buffet is very reasonable. This was my first stay in Rijeka so I have no point of comparison to other hotels but I am looking forward to future trips.
