We stayed at the Grand Hotel Belvedere in 1971 when Ferraris were in the parking lot and the clientele dressed for dinner. The hotel has not kept up with the times and is no longer grand, but it still has much to offer for a most reasonable price. We stayed in a corner room with a terrace that overlooked the Adriatic --- we were able to watch the sunrise from the terrace. The room was clean, beds comfortable and the breeze from our two windows was lovely. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the hotel terrace and swimming in the Adriatic. Also, the promenade goes right along the hotel, so you can take a traffic free walk into town or to Volusko, a little fishing village. We were not charged for parking and there were no hidden fees at check out.
