Beautiful sea-view from hotel terrace, we simply enjoyed! Our small group was staying in Depandance Belvedere for 5 nights in August 2010. True, old furniture and no air condition - but we knew it in advance and accepted this together with low price. Were surprised because we didn't expect such delicious and tasty meals with enough variety, also for non-vegetarians. Their extraordinary friendly cook was present at (rich) buffet dinner, communicating with guests and even made for us vegetarian pizza - and we didn't even asked for it. All staff - from receptionists to the cleaning ladies - very friendly and helpful. Considering this is a budget hotel (would need renovation, but in this case prices would raise a lot), all our compliments for the excellent service!

basic rooms with no tvs, dinning room choice great if you like salads and vegetables, do not go late as choice is limited.Hotel caters for wedding parties that are noisy and the needs of guests overlooked even diners are served early to suit hotel staffing. Roommaids provide a good service which must be difficult with the size and furnishing within rooms are outdated and linen also needing replaced.After staying in several hotels in the Opatija area this one I would rate as 1 star and that is awarded to the staff in the bar area, the beais very much public especially at weekends,beware of dogs barking in hotel rooms all hours.The view at the terraces and bar service Ivana and Zlatco waiters made up for the poor service and standards of the hotel, website photos do not show true sizes of most rooms.

They Have Two Hotels Side By Side... The Second One Is So Bad You Would Not Beleve Me.
In My Room I Had 3 Old Beds A Table And A Bedside Cabnet That Was It. The Saff Are Very Rude But If Your German Your Fine.

Hotel Belvedere is situated right by the sea, surrounded by a beautiful park bordering on the famous Opatija Seaside Promenade (Lungomare), in the quiet part of town. Although the Hotel is old and there is no AC it is very pleasant especially in early summer and autumn.
it is more suitable for older guests who enjoy quiet rests and long walks and vacation free of city stress.
the staff is very polite and kind, the food was excellent, value for money...
