The Pullman Hotel is comfortable but you pay the price. The rooms are a good size and there is a safe in the room. Poor selection of non-Francophone TV stations beyond CNN. Free wifi in the rooms for guests is a plus so are the tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Room service often get it wrong but the foods is OK but again very expensive when travelling on leisure and not with the Company expense account. Air France crew stayed here at the time of review. There is an ATM in the lobby (Banque Atlantique) that accepts Mastercard and Visa. Hire cars with driver can be arranged through the hotel. I was charged 45000 CFA per day plus fuel for travel within Abidjan.

Note, the hotel constantly tries to insist that visitors without a corporate reservation pay cash for every charge accrued (eg room service, coffees at the bar) even when you check in with a credit card. They maintain that previous guests have absconded without paying their bills. I pushed back on them and told them to charge items to my room but their insistence can be somewhat irritating. In all very comfortable and clean.

Plus:
- clean rooms, with imperial size beds, and very convenient bathroom
- internet access (Wifi) free of charge,
- convenient for business purpose
- very good food for money, but on European rates
- swimming pool, and
- sympathetic, attending and servicing crew & officers

Minus:
- no direct facilities around for any activities at present, so pure, typical, and standardised 5* Pullman Resort with all necessary luxery facilities on situ....
- at breakfast
- for your morning coffee prefer the one served at the kind of espresso capsule machine
- scrambled eggs could be better, far to fluid for me
- was on 9th floor, which had just been renovated and paint smell was quite over the acceptable, but with airco on, you could forget the problem

Neutral:
- if price is not an issue for your stay than go for it, price is in range of quality and services you expect
- price (comparing to other hotels in neighbourhood) is a 5* star price too, but most certainly negotiable downwards when preparing your bookings
- As in all Africa, Smoking is allowed nearly everywhere even in eating areas...
When booking/checking-in and willing to avoid to sleeping in an ashtray, prefer Non-Smoking rooms

All staff and officers are smiling serviceable and committed to assisting you in enjoying a fabulous stay...
So enjoy Abidjan areas, Ivory Coast and Africa too :)

Business stay in January 2012

This is a very good Business hotel. Its standards are very good.It would be perfect if it had a fitness center, or at least a shuttel to the Novotel to get to the fitness center their.
If fitness is not your main issue then its perfect.

I would recommend this hotel. The quick Service,Food and free internet are exactly what we business travlers need !

During my business trips to Abidjan I am using the Pullman.
The hotel service and quality meeting my standards.
It is the best hotel in Abidjan.
The food is excellence and the service is good, the rooms are very comfortable.
The only "problem " there is not any GYM facilities at the hotel. You can use the GYM at the Novotel but you have to drive yourself over there.
