“please stay away very dirty!!!!”

I had the pleaseure of bringing kids to ac for a concert book the room a few days before and off we went oh boy the first room room 131 had strong cat urin smell coming out of it when we opened the door and the place really looked bad the black out curtains were full of holes and the room was just very shabby. the second room 120 had holes in the wall instead and the beds when i lifted them look like that there might be a bed bug problem the bed also had cigarette burns on it and stains. we are not upper crust just a blue collar family, but this hotel in my opinion should be investigated by the board of health it has obvious signs of being a hazzard to someones health! please due yourself and love ones a favor and stay away! oh i did not stay thank goodness I could drive back home late and very tired but I drove home!!!! I was lucky I could do that or pay more money for another hotel.

“Used to be a quality inn; good points...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2010

Used to be a quality inn; good points: park outside door, ok staff, cleanliness; pool ok, not inviting, but clean, basic; bad: cash or prepay only- ATM in a bar next door. Loud rap music & street dwellers all night on road next to hotel, seedy neighborhood.
In all, abscecon hotels better for value, although further away.

“Horrible service - nasty place”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2009

We booked this hotel because we needed one Saturday night in Atlantic City -- we had tickets for a show, and all the boardwalk hotels wanted a LOT of money.

Mistake! The place was old, and only marginally clean. But the worst was the attitude of the staff. They treated everyone as if their main job was preventing guests from taking advantage of them, not as if their job was accommodating their clients. I can't tell you how many signs there were about not taking food from the breakfast area! (and breakfast was hardly good enough to EAT, never mind want "extra" for later) Or that they would charge you for an extra day if you checked out one minute after 11 !!

Our room smelt "animaly".. do the kennel dogs when they're not fully booked with humans??

Choice Hotels should be ashamed to have this dump labelled a "Quality Inn"!!

“We got scammed..they put fake charges on my credit card”

I stayed here over the fourth of July weekend with two friends of mine. We booked the room online for $149 but when we arrived there, they tried to charge us $220. The area was a bit shady - it doesn't seem too safe to walk from the hotel to the beach/boardwalk so we drove down to the beach.

We stayed there for one night and after we left, the manager (Sharon) called to inform us that we had broken a mirror. My friends and I thoroughly checked the room before we left (because they people at the hotel seemed very shady) and everything was as we had found it, e.g. no broken mirror. She charged my credit card for almost $500 and then hung up on my when I was trying to talk to her about it. The hotel proceeded to add another $500 dollars onto my card and I have no idea what that was for. I ended up disputing it with my credit card company and the later half was taken off because these charges were fraudulent. The rest of the charges were also successfully disputed because they really couldn't prove their case.

Just an additional IMPORTANT note: This hotel is privately owned and you are not protected by the "Quality Inn" name. They basically pay Quality Inn to use their name for marketing purposes so if you have any trouble, you will be dealing with the hotel owner and Quality Inn Corporation can do nothing about it. Also, if you check their consumer report at the Better Business Bureau they have an F because they refuse to respond to claims.

Overall, they really tried to screw us over-be careful when booking with them. Bring proof of the price you have agreed to pay and don't plan on walking to the beach from here.

“Pleasantly surprised with our stay.”

I had read the review immediately below mine from July and also booked a smoking room since that's all that was left; I had booked a month before our trip, and needed a cheap place to stay on a Saturday night. Our room was super clean, and the carpet seemed like new. We were impressed with the walk-in closet and kitchen space, with microwave, stove and fridge. Its location was convenient; we didn't walk to the beach though it was a good 15 minute walk away, but it was an easy drive to the outlets and casinos, as well as Ventnor and Margate, and also easy to get to/from the Parkway/AC Expressway. We had a room facing the pool, and the pool itself was decent. The front desk was accommodating, and was able to grant me a later check-out of noon instead of 11 a.m. (though our key cards were automatically deactivated at 11 without us knowing and we had to get a housekeeper to let us in.) Also, before going to bed that night, it was a bit noisy, but it died down and we were not interrupted for the rest of the evening. Overall, for $119, including parking for one car plus continental breakfast the next morning with a waffle maker, mini bagels and muffins, we could not ask for a better place.
