“Depends on what you are looking for.”

I went there Jan-13-16 for my husbands birthday. It was a last minute trip to AC and we weren't trying to spend 800 for rooms for the weekend. So we stayed at BLUEGREEN @ Atlantic Palace (From my understanding, Atlantic Palace and Bluegreen are separate entities). The room was spacious and clean with a jacuzzi tub and a kitchenette. There was a sitting area as well. The bed was comfortable. There is no real restauraunt in the hotel, so we had breakfast at Perry's near the Howard Johnson- very good and good prices. Cabs to the casinos were relatively cheap 7-10 dollars (Harrahs and Borgata would have cost more we didn't go to that city of the city.) There is no room service but there is a 7-11 on the corner so you can stock the rooms with drinks etc.

This isn't a luxury hotel by any means but if you are just looking for a place to stay so you can go gamble and eat at the casinos its worth the price for sure and its clean. Oh if you drive a truck think again about parking at this hotel. Thank god we took my car (nissan murano) and even that barely fit. The garage is very small. Just an FYI

“New Year's Eve in Atlantic City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

The Atlantic Palace was a perfect location to spend a couple nights while enjoying New Year's Eve festivities in Atlantic City. It is a 31-story building located right on the Boardwalk, situated between the Resorts Casino and Bally's. You could walk the Boardwalk to either casino, or the others. The ocean views from the studio unit we had were outstanding! We were on the 27th floor. There are three elevators that run pretty consistently and quickly. The resort has a separate parking garage with stairs only, no elevator.

This resort has been undergoing remodeling of individual units. Ours was one that had not yet been renovated, but it really was not a problem. The only thing that bugged me was the very high kitchen cabinets that I could only reach if I climbed on a chair! The hubby had to get a couple glasses down. There is also a weird configuration of the bathroom in this particular unit where there is a window with horizontal blinds between the bed area and the tub/shower in the bathroom! Strange!

We thought from the resort description that there would be an indoor hot tub, but no such luck. There is a sauna and steamroom, In season, there is an outdoor pool on the second floor.

The front desk and parking guy in the lobby were very friendly and helpful. We also got a call the first morning from housekeeping asking if we needed anything, which is not typical of most timeshare resorts we've exchanged into.

The surrounding area is kind of typical AC seediness, with a strip joint down the street and some rather older buildings with not much going on. But for us, going for nightlife and some gambling and dining, it was fine. I would go back here anytime, but it would be nice in the summer to stroll the boardwalk or take one of the rolling chairs, which were even operating at this time of year in unseasonably warm weather.

Room Tip: Ask for a remodeled room and one on a higher floor for the view.

“Awful!”

There are two sides to this property, BlueGreen Resorts and Atlantic Palace Suites...DO NOT STAY WITH ATLANTIC PALACE! We have been going to AC for 15 years on Thanksgiving weekend and have always stayed with BlueGreen Resort and loved it. We accidentally made our reservation with Atlantic Palace Suites - BIG MISTAKE! Rooms are dirty, fridge didn't work, fan in bathroom didnt work, rude staff!

Room Tip: Hotels with casinos are much more convenient if you plan on playing, it beats walking on the boardwa...

“Unexpected with a great location and beautiful view and good staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

My husband and I booked a two week stay from the end of December until January 6th...yes, we are still here. We stayed in two room. The first on the 31st floor.this is a one bedroom and we had one little issue with this..(it did need some updating..but the view and service made up for it)..We had a panaromic view of the ocean and most of the other casinos. Our room this week was an updated sexy studio on the 25th floor. Both rooms were great. The staff, especially Jared ah who was employee of the month was wonderful. However, the entire front desk and the bellhop men were very accommodating.
Ok,,,,the area is a litte on the ghetto side..however, it is Atlantic city..it's still up and coming...what more can you ask for...A beach, Casino, The Pool, Wild west west dancing girls, Drinks, A great location in Atlantic Palace and the Irish Pub and the Tanger walk is in close walking distance..everything is in walking distance...you can get from the tropicana to taj mahal..all in walking distance. This hotel was lovely and I did not have to pay for parking as a transfer guest..I love this place and can't wait to go back.

“Affordable and on the Boardwalk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

My husband and I recently stayed at the Atlantic Palace in Atlantic City. The prices at the fancy hotels on the Boardwalk can get fairly high, but this was very reasonable. The room was very average, kind of outdated, but the view was spectacular! We were right on the ocean on the 29th floor -- jaw dropping when we entered. The room was actually a little suite with a kitchenette, not that I used it!! But it was great to have a glass of chilled wine before we went out gambling. There is a little, very basic restaurant downstairs that was fine for a quick bite but nothing like some of great restaurants in the casinos. There is no casino in this hotel which I didn't like because we had to walk down the strip in order to hit the casinos. This hotel has a nice gym that we worked out in and the people that work here are nice and helpful. If you're looking for luxury don't bother with this one, but if you want a inexpensive weekend in AC this is your place!

Room Tip: Try for one on the ocean...
