Negatives: On-site restaurant but you pay for all your meals even the coffee. That sucks! No smoking rooms. That sucked! At the end of the boardwalk. No way!! Toilet clogged from previous guest which would not flush. Look Out!

Positives: Staff is helpful. Good! Hotel rooms were spacious and clean. Cool beans! Balcony view. Excellent! Location was safe. Perfect!!

The lobby looked okay and the price was right. The room had an old musty smell that may have been from the obviously old and dated interior finishes. The HVAC system was very noisy and improperly located on an interior wall.

The old sliding glass door let in ALL the noise when they picked up the trash dumpster at the Tropicana for what seemed like half an hour at 5:30AM, by the time I fell asleep I was again awakened by the people in the next room having a conversation (I thought they were actually in my room). When I complained about the noise to the front desk they said exterior noise was beyond their control and had I called the desk they would have asked the people in the other room to be quiet,

I guess they never thought of installing a modern double insulated sliding door that actually closed and or very heavy curtains to help dampen the noise. Perhaps some sound insulation in the walls might be nice too.

Overall it is just another old Jersey Shore hotel that should have been knocked down fifty years ago and replaced.

The help there could care less about fixing anything and the Days Inn central customer service was also less than enthusiastic about curing any of the problems with the hotel.

I will never stay there again and will think long and hard about staying at any Days Inn property again.

The hotel and rooms were mostly what the other reviews said they were. First, the Pros.
Great location; Easy to get in and out with Free Valet Parking; Good sized room. Ours was on the side and had a balcony and you could see the beach and ocean; Very clean; We were there to see a show at the Boardwalk Hall and it was a 10 minute walk (about 1/2 mile). For about $10 you can take a "Rolling Chair" if you don't feel like walking; Hotel is directly next to the Tropicana. Now, the Cons. Paper thin walls. You can hear everything going on on your floor. We had some idiots wake us up twice at 2AM and 5AM in the next room. We called the desk and they did send someone up and it did get quiet but it was not a good nights sleep; Bed was old and hard; Room had a slight odor but we got used to it; If anyone around you is smoking, it comes right through the walls and ventilation system. The hotel said they had 10 complaints of noise the night we were there and they did call the police. However, they offered us nothing for the inconvenience other than a late checkout. All in all, a decent value compared to the casinos and we can't blame the hotel for the noisy idiots near us. We would probably give the place another shot if their rates are still competitive.

Manager gave me a deal for a 8am Check-in and 3pm check -out on same day. Only to be awakened by loud Construction from 9-11am. Then a call from front desk at 12:30pm asking about when I was checking out. Called Manager and ask for a couple extra hours since they woke me up and the loud noise and manager said no then hung up the phone. Decided to checkout. When I talked to manager at front desk at 1pm, he said he did not want to talk about it anymore.
