If you can get past the faux roman architecture facade, Caesars AC is a reasonably nice hotel. There are numerous restaurants onsite or attached that offer gourmet food by top-name chefs. The hotel rooms are well-appointed and comfortable, and it's a good thing there are black-out curtains in the rooms because the glare of nearby hotel lights can be blinding. The bathrooms in the hotel rooms is great, offering a private toilet closet and a large shower. The coolest part is the tv screen built right into the mirror in the bathroom.
The hotel property itself is decently maintained. Be forewarned that the ventilation in the casinos is not as good as Vegas properties, and you'll emerge smelling like smoke at the end of the night. Otherwise, the property does have some weird hallways that have nothing in them, possibly a design flaw!
The spa at the hotel is well-maintained but small. Unfortunately, the spa staff at the check-in desk were kind of incompetent. We asked for two massages, one classic and one deep tissue, both with female masseuses, and we arrived to two classic massages, one male masseur and one female masseuse. Total fail. The spa itself was not as relaxing as I had hoped. The relaxation room is tiny and only has upright chairs. It's mainly just a holding pen for people waiting for their treatments, not a true relaxation room. The locker room area was tiny and offered no seating, which was odd. The different pools (hot, cold, and cool) could have been relaxing if the people in them weren't chatting the whole time. The massage itself was quite good. I wound up with a male masseur, George, who I would recommend. He looks a little like Santa Clause, so it is a little comedic to start. But, he's very competent and very good at what he does! There is a difference between male and female attendants; I found the difference to be with gentleness and smoothness of transitions between different techniques. One is not better than another; they're just different.
Overall, I would recommend Caesars as a lower-priced, but equally nice, alternative to some of the other hotels. Plus, it's on right on AC boardwalk and beach.
Room Tip: I think quieter rooms are in the Coliseum tower, which is located near the convention rooms.
