“I LOVE This Place!!!”

I go to Atlantic City, NJ ALOT!!!! and every time I go there, I stay only at one and only place and that is the Hi - Ho Motel on the Black Horse Pike. I love this place. It is a family ran business so they really know how to take care of there customers. The moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. They even go out of there way and give you a RIDE, to the Casinos which is only 5 minutes away from the Motel. Why pay for expensive, fancy, looking hotels while you get the same service at the Hi - Ho Motel. You have casinos near by; the beach is right across the street, easy access to buses (right in front of the motel).

“Simply put, horrible”

This was by far the most disgusting and ill maintained motel room I have ever been in. Upon entering the room we immediately discovered just how bad off this place was.

The door to the room had duct tape running down a good two thirds of it. The building itself looked as if it had not been painted in some time. There were bare wires protruding about six inches from the wall above one of the beds, with no signs of an attempt to secure the wires. Just beyond the door was a bare water pipe running the full height of the wall. The headboards had fingerprint smudges all over them indicating that a pull housecleaning wasn't done.

Throughout the room, large sections of wall paper were peeling away from the wall, and in some places there was duct tape placed over the lose wallpaper in an attempt to stop it from peeling. The closet again had peeling wall paper and mildew, and had an open box of baking soda placed in it. There were large amounts of mildew accumulating along the baseboards all through out the room. In particular there was an excessive amount of mildew on the tiling and floor of the shower. There was no hot water available from the sink either.

Lighting was insufficient. The room contained only one table lamp which, even with the missing the lamp shade, did an ill job of lighting the room. The TV was missing the controls from the front of it and in order to operate it you had to go to the office to get a remote, it was not provided in the room. The air conditioner had mildew around it and was beginning to fall from its mounting. The curtain fixture as well was also falling from its mounting.

The parking lot and grounds surrounding the rooms were ill maintained as well with litter scattered about, including a used condom found just outside our door which looked as if it had been there longer than a day.

We only used the toilet to urinate and didn't even consider using the shower. We also didn't bother to sleep under the covers provided; we were only in the room for a total of six hours as it was our resting spot before heading home from Atlantic City.

The sad part is that the motel has a sign posted in the office "No Refunds" so by the time that we paid the $100 dollars in advance, it was too late to do anything about it.

I would recommend avoiding this particular Motel.
