“Can't Beat the Price or Location”

My friend and I were looking for inexpensive weekend trip from NYC and stumbled upon Atlantic City's Irish Pub & Inn on TripAdvisor. We were a little hesitant at first (the rooms had no air conditioning/TV and the shower was down the hall), but were pleasantly surprised.

At night, we opened the windows for a cool, summer breeze and also turned on the fan. The Inn sits above their pub and restaurant (best. food. ever.) and we enjoyed the live band playing outside on their patio.

The Inn is literally less than 500 feet from the boardwalk-- we couldn't believe the location! If you're a twenty-something looking for a fun and inexpensive weekend, definitely book a room here. See you next summer! :)

“We really like that Old-Time Boardwalk Boarding House feel!”

We enjoyed our stays at the Irish Pub & Inn...it has that old-time boardwalk boarding house feel...rooms are sufficient (very basic), beds comfortable, and has a nice porch with rocking chairs. The public area of the Inn is rather interesting (see pictures). They're open late spring to Labor Day...there's no heat or a/c but the ceiling fans are sufficient in our opinion. Very affordable rates, even in July and August. We've been there three times so far & will be back!

Room Tip: We;ve always gotten room with private bath.

“A step back in time, possibly too far back for some”

I got a huge kick out of this completely unrenovated Victorian hotel -- it made me feel like a character in an O. Henry story, someplace Della and Jim might have gone for a few days by the sea. Della and Jim, you may recall, are the broke young couple from Gift of the Magi, and this hotel has a similarly down-at-heels feeling that for $65 a night on a summer weekend I was willing to find romantic, although the other couple we were with found it significantly less so. The ocean breezes kept the worst of the heat at bay and with the ceiling fan on we were actually chilly in the morning.

“Right by the Boardwalk, basic accommodations for those on a budget”

I stayed at the Irish Pub while attending the Dave Matthews Band Caravan at Bader Field. The hotel itself is pretty bare bones, but it was clean and comfortable and provided exactly what we needed for this trip (a place to sleep and shower). The rooms don't have air conditioning but there was a box fan in the room which made it very comfortable. The pub downstairs is great, offering good food and drink at a very fair price, and the outdoor patio is the perfect place to relax with a beer! I would definitely go back!

“great food for little $$”

Came here for lunch on a friends recommendation and was not disappointed. Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed burgers and beers. Inside has a great bar, full of character, but we opted for sitting out in the sunshine. (the bar is dark but so fun!) Service was friendly and
food came quick. (course, how long do burgers/fries take?)

Would go back in a NY minute. Great atmosphere, reasonable prices and away from the casino hub-bub! Can't vouch for the rooms, but for the money? I wouldn't expect the Ritz.
