My lady and I visit Atlantic City at least 4-5 weekends a year. We are fortunate to get room comps at Tropicana just about every time that we go. On our last trip down, we were told that the comp rooms were sold out for the Saturday night stay. Since we were not comfortable dropping $300 or more on a Saturday night that was not during the summer or holiday weekend, we decided to try the Days Inn as it was right next to the Tropicana and the room was about 70% cheaper on that Saturday night. I've stayed in Days Inn's in the past, so my expectations were pretty clear about it. The room had a slighly dated appearance, but it was clean and perfectly acceptable for a place to put your head down at night. The elevator was painfully slow, but this is to be expected from an older property. I like that they offered free valet parking as well as free Wi-Fi. My iPad2 connected normally and the signal strength was even better than the free Wi-fi in the Havana Tower at Tropicana. I didn't notice a free continental breakfast offered at this hotel( as was advertised on a popular online travel site), but they do have a restaurant called the "Country Kitchen". We had breakfast there and the food was good and not expensive. Overall, I would consider staying here again if we ever strike out again on comp rooms.
