My husband and I stayed at this hotel last Summer (2010). We liked the location of the hotel, in front of a nice beach, very closed to downtown and the harbor. We booked a room with a balcony with view to the sea, if you are not used to hear people partying at midnight ( which is understandable for being in such beautiful place) I would recommend a room in the rear of the building or another hotel far down the beach. Otherwise, you'll be disturbed with people partying until 3:00 in the morning. The staff at the desk are not helpful and kind, except for "Maria" one of the receptionist who was a sweetheart. They also don't speak English very well. Therefore, it's better for you to learn some Spanish. The service at the kitchen was good. Ask for "Jose" if you wanna know what to do or what places to visit around the island, he'd point you in the right direction & get good deals in tickets' prices for you. Unfortunately, there are some blackouts at certain times during the day, so don't be surprise or annoyed by this. If you need to use an electric shaver, epilator or charge your cellphone, I would advise to do it the night before. Also bring a battery operated alarm o'clock. I hope this review is helpful especially for visitors that are too picky.
