I cannot express the weekend that we had at the Empress in words. Seven of us got two hotel rooms there for a wild Labor Day weekend and I do not think that we had any idea just how wild our weekend was going to be.

First of all, the non-Jerseyites (including myself) were shocked at the concept of **paying to go to the beach**, but we quickly learned that the Empress' pool offered anything that we might need and that there was exceptional sunbathing to be had on the pool deck as well. The nightclub contained in the hotel is a lot of fun too. The action really moves from the pool to the pool/night club around 9pm. Well, after everyone gets ready in their rooms that is.

Do not expect a quiet weekend here. I do not think that the hotel staff would even begin to understand the concept of a noise complaint. That said, it was a great location of a weekend of debauchery! Also, the continental breakfast in the morning is also sufficient--not over the top and no stinting.

Will I go back? Definitely.

Nice convenient party place. Come to play, not relax, especially on the weeekend.

So I stayed at the empress over the summer, last week of July to be exact. I stayed during the week, because I had seen and heard just how rowdy it can get on the weekends. I have to say my stay was sublime, my only complaint was just how much my room smelled of cigarettes.

I got a room at the Empress Hotel for my aunt, 3 sisters and myself. We danced the night away at Club Paradise and then we took the elevator up to our comfy room. I can'wait to stay there again, the accomodations, location and staff were great. Thank you Empress for a fantastic stay!
