I stayed at Cali Plaza hotel after reading the great reviews. This hotel lives up to the positive feedback. The owner Claude is doing a great job and has the most helpful staff working at the hotel. The hotel is located close to everything! You get a free cell phone (just add minutes). No need to venture out to get a cab. You can get George to pick you up and drop you off. Both the owner and George speak English, so you need not worry if your Spanish is rusty. My friends and I had a great time staying at this hotel and will be staying here when we visit Cali. A+++

Cali Plaza's location is prime. There are lots of restaurants nearby, the ChipeChape shopping center nearby, lots of discoteqas, and plenty of other small shops readily available.

The customer service was excellent and is willing to accommodate any request you have. The staff all knew you by name by the time you left and the owner, Claude, whom is American is a big asset for American travelers. He is around often to cater personally to you.

Website is very informative and making reservations via e-mail is super easy and convenient!

Our friends and family stayed here with us when they traveled to Cali for our wedding and they were greatly accommodated.

We also got free cell phones we could rent...all you needed to buy was minutes.

This was my first visit to Cali, and Colombia in particular. I chose Cali Plaza based on reviews I had found on the internet and due to the fact that the owner, Claude, is from the U.S. I arrived late at night and was greeted by the friendly staff even with my limited spanish. I was shown several rooms to choose from and setteled on an apartment with a balcony overlooking Calle 15. The room was spacious and clean and within 15 minutes Claude was there to greet me and give me a quick rundown on the area. I'm sure there are larger hotels in Cali with more amenities, but you will be hard pressed to find one where the owner personally comes to greet you in english. If I ever find myself back in Cali, I will definately be staying at Cali Plaza.
