Price is reasonable, location - not bad. That's positive. Spacious rooms, as in most hotels in China, sattelite TV... But the room was dirty all the time, ladies at the reception caouldn't call a taxi or say anything about surroundings. The map they gave was fully Chinese. And the most unpleasant impression was canteen - I can't call the breakfast place a restaurant or a cafeteria. Small choice, not tasty at all.

Good location on Tianjin Street (pedestrian street, with a lot of food and shopping) and also close to Russian Street and Zhongshan Square. The hotel is also just a short walk from the Dalian train station (less than 10 minutes).
The public areas and rooms are clean and modern. Free internet is available in all rooms and there are also two computers in the lobby, for guest use. Free buffet breakfast (both Chinese and western dishes) is provided all guests. The breakfast buffet was very nice and much better than one might expect from a budget hotel.
Overall the hotel was very nice and I would highly recommend it. The only small issue was some mildew in shower, around some of the tiles.

This was my first time to dalian and I booked the hotels based upon the positive reviews here and I was very pleased with the hotel. Check in was easy, the english levels of the staff was fine and the room was very clean and quite comfortable. The staff did all they could to assist and were very helpful overall. The food was okay at the dinner buffett, but it did include some very nice seafood as well as free beer so for $10 australian you could hadly complain about that. nice overall and will use this hotel again as the price is very good around $50 AUD a night.
