Pleasant stay in this simple nice hotel. Nothing luxury or fancy. Room is still well maintained and clean, so as to the toilet (the most important) and other amenities in the room. Location is good, near some shopping places and restaurant.

Breakfast, not a fancy one and fairly average. Limited choices but with mixture of chinese and western style.

Rooms were moderately clean. Bathroom was very simple with no frills. Breakfast was 100% Chinese with warm milk - yuk! Price was economical and worth staying for two nights. Several stores within easy walking distance, including Starbucks. Would only stay here again if no other options available. Do not expect good English! Can hear traffic noise and lots of horns.

Ok. I need to be careful here. We were paying around $60 per night and were there for 12 nights in a suite. Room size was great. English Barrier was huge but my wife is a native.

Location was perfect. Heart of Dalian. Close to the train station etc. My major issues was with the breakfast. Almost 100% Chinese style, and specific to that area. That said the executive chef was able to get me poached eggs each morning.

It's. Good place to stay as it's cheap. Dalian is a little difficult in general because of the language barrier. I would probably pay a bit more and stay at the Interconinental, Kempinsky, Swissotel or Shangrila. That said. Value for money. H.inn would trump them all.

When we booked this hotel there were a few key amenities we were looking for: guest laundry facilities and air conditioning.
Upon checking in to our room, the room was rather warm, so we turned the thermostat down to 20 centigrades. In the meantime we figured we'd do some laundry... only to find out that was no longer an option... no more guest laundry facilities. Awesome.
Two hours later, the temperature in the room was UP from 25 to 28 degrees. So we call down to the front desk. In very broken English we get informed "it is not air conditioning season, you may open window." Really? I [MAY] open the window? Why thank you, that way I can let the 30 degree outside temperature COOL my room to 20? I'll get right on that. After much arguing and 2 fans in our room, we are at the end of our rope. We ended up booking a different hotel on line close by and changed hotels the same night we checked in.
