visiting Harbin for Ice Festival. had the room for 3 nights. the beds are what we'd call in the US super extra firm- but there is some top padding and we all slept great. we have been in China for a while and expect the hard beds. These are NOT the hardest by a long shot! the room was clean, except for carpet wear, the showers never got cold , and actually, the room seemed to stay too warm. the breakfast buffet was definitely Eastern, but there was plenty of good food ! toast ,cold cereals, breads, yogurt and fruit were available for our picky teenage girls. The service staff was a little slow at restocking, but gladly refilled if made aware. Room Service was difficult with the language barrier. salad and fruit took way too long to prepare, and we ordered ice cream. all flavors were a surprise...( we had no idea what we would get) - but it was good. : )
