Check in went smoothly, all staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, but mattress was extremely hard and air conditioner fan was noisy. Next day, asked for different room and was immediately changed to slightly upgraded room (refrigerator, microwave) at no charge.
Restaurants on first and third floors had good food and priced very reasonably.
Discovered that most of the toiletries were charged for a-la-carte: 1 Yuan for packet of shampoo, 10 Yuan for packaged towel, and so on. Price list was not in bathroom, but near refrigerator. How annoying! The American expression for this would not be printed here, but the Chinese word is "stupid."
The room rate was competitive for this class of hotel, but we found another hotel within a 5 minutes away at half the price, so we relocated to that hotel for the remainder of our stay in Zhuhai.
