Excellent hotel next to the MIXC Shopping Center and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the Metro entry across the street. Minutes to anywhere in Shenzhen. This is a Conifer hotel and you can expect 4-5 stars. The Conifer Hotel chain is know in China as a 5 star rated hotel but not known in the West. This hotel had great service, Clean rooms. The interior designer executed a great feel in the rooms and the common areas. The only downside is the food is limited at the cafe and there is a trash smell in the service elevator lobby. They got a great coffee machine. Better than Starbucks. Price is a great value. I can say this cause I prefer to stay here compared to other value hotels. You get more than your moneys worth. Well at least for now. My US dollar is melting! And I've never seen bugs in the restaurant as another reviewer stated.

I was here for work after being in Hong Kong for a week, it was amazing to come across the border and have a hotel that was 1/3 the price but actually much nicer. It is a newer hotel in the heart of the downtown area near lots of major office buildings and is connected to a pretty big mall with lots of high end luxury names. The rooms were big, the staff friendly (though I did have some language barrier issues in the gym), and the breakfast was quite good (though a little lighter on the western fare).

as an expat and having lived in Asia for over 30 years, I can say that I have seen my fair share of hotels.

It is my honest opinion that this hotel is one of the nicest I have ever stayed. On checking in I asked how much would it cost to upgrade to a junior suite, unfortunately they were all booked but receptionist upGraded me to the executive floor free of charge.

The room was very large, very comfortable and very well furnished. The Hong Hong restaurant was superb and staff very attentive.

The only minor down side was the night security guard touting for ladies of the night - but that happens all over China.

Our experience with this hotel this June has been the worst to say the least...Its a bright new shiny place, but the service and overall trearment is awful.They have a nice breakfast buffet, however many times we found roaches and insects on the dinning table & have given a written complaint to management however nothing was done about it.There were also petty incidences wherein the housekeeping has over charged for laundry, this was brought to the notice of supervisor however we didn’t escalate this issue..The Airconditioning unit konked off one night and no/little ventilation made the situation even worse. It was only after a lot of difficulty that we were given another room for the night..We managed to get the room changed as we were to stay for 30days, however the hotel tried to charge us for a supposedly broken wine glass in the new room which we had in fact pointed out to the housekeeping.Most of the staff do not speak english beyond"good morning".Check out service is awfully time consuming, its only when we created a scene in the reception that they finished with us in 45 mins.Overall a good hotel with highly unprofessional staff (except the doormen &Concierge)..
