Good value for money. I don't think you pay the typical five star prices here, but you get the five star features. Stayed here during Chinese New Year. Hotel did not seem busy, but still could not check in until 15.30. Nothing was offered for compensation which annoyed me (like a welcome tea or something). They just let me sit in the lobby for 45 minutes.

Room was compact but fine on 18th floor. All the amenities I needed for one night. As I felt sick during my stay, the international TV channels were pleasant. Also its great that you can use their free fast WIFI with no censor which normally is applied in Mainland China. Facebook and Google are all OK to browse. I did not use any restaurant. Porters were helpfull to assist, eventhough did not speak perfect English and at times asked each other for linguistic assistance. Room service food was good, a friend recommended Congee (ride porridge) when feeling sick, this did indeed help me a lot and it tasted good.

Area is central in Futian if you need to be here. Unfortunatly only an outside pool, which is unbearable in the winter. But the free gym with steam and dry sauna made it up.

I would stay here again in the future if going back to Shenzhen, for the same price (just 80euro).

I was in Shenzhen for ten days and needed a hotel that was basically a working office. The Marco Polo was perfect. I had a club room (38th floor) with access to the lounge and business center on the 40th floor. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing with a separate tub and shower. The closet had a safe which I prefer in any hotel. The work desk was very nice. The reading chairs were comfortable. I found the prices over the top in both the main restaurant and the Japanese restaurant on the ground floor near the lobby but they were both good quality. The staff on the club floor were what made the trip so meaningful. They called me by name each day and were doing the same to folks that were staying there. Quality folks and such a good benefit of being on a club floor.

My family stayed at the Marco Polo in Shenzhen for 2 nights and had a perfect stay. The hotel is located in Futian, the business district of Shenzhen. The hotel largely caters to businessman and holds lots of conventions. Sino Life had a large convention during our stay. Futian turned out to be extremely convenient because it is in the center of the city. It was about 15 minutes by taxi to get to both Window of the World and Luohu Commercial City. After traveling to Luohu Commercial City, I was thankful I did not stay at the Shangri-la because that area was very seedy.

We were able to check-in early which was great since our flight arrived in Hong Kong at 5:00am. The hotel lobby was spacious and impeccably clean with staff ready to help out at any time. I recommend travelers coming from Hong Kong International airport take the Sky Limo to Shenzhen. The car takes you to the border, and then once you cross the border, another car takes you to your hotel. It was fast and convenient and only cost 140 Yuan per person ($22 USD).

We had 2 superior rooms; both were really modern and had a blue accent. There was a large flat screen T.V, complimentary Internet access, and a luxurious bathroom with a rainforest shower. We had views of COCO shopping mall, which is only a five-minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel has one of the largest gyms I have seen with tons of modern equipment. There was also a yoga room and a golf putting practice mat. Bottled water provided as well as towels. There were also some of the most beautiful changing rooms/locker rooms I have ever seen comparable to any top of the line country club. There was a huge outdoor pool on the 4th floor as well.

The breakfast buffet was fantastic with freshly squeezed orange juice. There was a large variety of Asian and western choices. It was the only hotel on our trip that had peanut butter!

Overall we had a perfect stay at the Marco Polo. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient 5-star hotel in Shenzhen

Gorgeous, very tastefully decorated hotel in the heart of Shenzhen city, Extremely helpful, pleasant, professional employees who clearly took customer service as a goal. This is the absolute cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in - every day I was there, I saw hotel employees cleaning everything from elevators to chairs! There are shopping malls and restaurants steps away, and I felt very comfortable walking around the area near the hotel by myself as I did a little sightseeing one afternoon. Valet service was very quick, never a problem. I travel to SZ quite a bit and would definitely make this hotel my home away from home. So pleased with our experience!
