I spent whole week on business in Shenzhen and stayed at CNPC. The hotel is nice and clean and the service was good even though I did face some language problems. But everybody was trying to do their best and serve you well.
I had a single room which was quite small but just for myself that was enough. The bathroom was functional and they refilled the supplies of shampoo, bathfoam, toothbrush and paste every day. Once I got free fruits and once they brought the "mooncake" as it was the holiday season then. China Today was brought to my room twice during my stay.
Breakfast buffet was good enough and once we had lunch at hotel restaurant.
The only thing which I had trouble to understand was the complimentary drink. There was a notice that hotel gives complimentary dringks but some of them were charged anyways. The sum was so low, that I did not complain - partly because I was sure I would not be understood properly.
The hotel was close to some shopping mall which was nice to pop in after the meetings in the evening. So I managed to squeese in shopping into my tight schedule due to the location of the hotel!
There were some construction work going on beside the hotel and the workers began banging and click-clacking at 7 am - I am sure that would bother those who could have slept a little bit later!
