One of the best in Xiamen. Situated in a good location. Sleep quality is the best. Breakfast buffet is enormous and delicious. Huge lobby. Huge function area. Security is excellent. Front desk staff are well versed in English. Bellboys are helpful.

The Xianglu Grand Hotel in Xiamen is certain a GRAND hotel. It is to cater to the hundreds of convention guests who visits Xiamen. The hotel's restaurants that serve lunch buffet has a wide selection. Staffs are attentive and a few spoke English. You can catch a cab from the hotel to the city. You can get lost looking for your room if you're not careful as each floor has more than 60rooms! Very clean and spacious rooms and beds are comfortable.

This hotel clearly targets the upper end of business and leisure travellers and is ambitious in its scale - more than 1500 rooms. The principal architectural feature is a cavernous atrium. One of the negative effects of the atrium is the fact that some standard rooms - including the one I stayed in - have no windows. If you are claustrophobic, take care when booking. The breakfast buffet is excellent with enough choice to satisfy the western as well as the many eastern clients. The staff was, on the whole, helpful and spoke at least some English.

Location is the only downside to this hotel, but its very close to the airport. Top notch service, good english spoken here by the staf. The pool and exercise rooms are great.

Stayed in a two room suite for about 400 RMB per night. Two plasma TVs, amenaties, super clean facilities. The Buffet is also pretty good.
