Rooms are nice, spacious and more importantly, very clean. Stayed in the deluxe room which provided both wired and wireless high speed Internet access. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was also great with a wide selection and very attentive service staff. View of the harbour was also a nice bonus.

Best thing about the hotel is that it is just round the corner (less than 5 mins walk) from Zhong Shan Pedestrian St where you can get just about whatever souvenirs/local products to bring home. Very safe location, had no qualms about walking about alone at night. Cabs were also aplenty, but everything you need is really quite within walking distance.

On the whole, with its great rooms and even better location, the hotel is perfect for both business and holiday trips.

You may wish to check out Cafe Street (咖啡小街) which is a lovely, quaint street of small cafes (coffee, tea and cakes etc) along the harbour. It is situated just round the corner from marco polo hotel, but is only about a 5-10 mins cab ride from Millenium Hotel that should cost not more than 15RMB.

I travel to Xiamen four times a year and the Millennium is my top choice. My travel schedule is that I always arrive very late/early morning and the staff is energetic and helpful and make my check in quick and easy. The rooms are clean, nice size, and comfortable. I love the large buffet breakfast and there is also a great Italian restaurant when you want a break from local food. Walk out the side door and there is great shopping available with both store fronts and booths on the street. Keep walking ten more minutes and you are at the ferry which takes you to Gulangyu Island where you can walk the streets of embassies, visit the piano museum or more shopping at Pearl World and Yogi’s Art.

Each time we visited Xiamen, Millennium Harbourview is our ultimate choice. I love the great service, sumptuous buffet spread, large and comfortable rooms and the best part is that it's a less than a minute walk away from Zhong Shan Road.

Unfortunately I also have to add on that my recent stay(4th time) with them was pretty unpleasant. Terrible service from the receptionists during check in and check out! I hope this is only a one off incident and that they will improve when I visit again the next time round.

The Millennium Harbourview and their super friendly staff have become like family to me over the last several years. Typically I am able to travel to Xiamen once a year and every time I do, I stay at the Millennium.

The staff are reason number 1. They make efforts to know our first names and respectfully call us by our last. In an unfortunate moment of forgetfulness, a bag was left in a taxi and the staff at the MH were quite efficient in tracking down the taxi and getting our belongings back. They always go the extra mile and truly put me at ease while I stay as their guest.

The rooms are quite comfortable and have everything one might need for a stay. I have stayed in the Deluxe, Superior, and Executive rooms and have really been more than comfortable with all of them. The value for the price is excellent and I have never looked at going to any other hotel...the MH has captivated my attention!

The breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were beyond amazing. I have really grown to love breakfast as a special part of my trips here. They have copious amounts of Western favorites as well as morsels of local preferences at both seatings.

The location of the MH is perfect. One block from the water, a short taxi or local bus to the University and beach, and you are set. Downtown Xiamen is also a short cab ride away, and if you are adventurous, not too far for a walk either.

If you are traveling on business or leisure, you will feel quite comfortable in this VERY safe, VERY customer-centric hotel!
