I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. When my tour agent made our booking, non smoking room was requested. At the check in I was told that there was no more non smoking room. We expressed our disapointment strongly and eventually was upgrade to an on suite room. On our second night we went out for dinner and because we were in a hurry as we expected a friend to visit us I left my wallet next to my cell phone on top of my dairy on the writing desk in the hotel room. After our dinner and on wanting to pay the bill I discovered my wallet was not with me. My wife settled the bill and we went back to the hotel expecting that the wallet will be there. To our horror it was missing but the cell phone and dairy was still there. We reported to the management and they came to investigate but did nothing further to assist us. We expect them to call the police and to assist us with phone call to cancel our VISA and Master Card etc. but this was not offer to us. We try to call our VISA Agent from the room phone with the assistant of the telephone operator but was not successful because she could not put us through on reverse charge call. We seek the help of the office staff ( Night Manager) but she would not allow us to make the call on reverse charge and in no polite term demanded that unless we accept the responsibilty for the telephone cost. She could not allow us to make the call. It was a socking experience to us that this staff displayed such attitude and behavior to their customers in such circumstances. To cut the story short we had to sort everything out ourself including calling the police and had the report made at the local police station. We felt we are badly treated as guests in this hotel. The staff are very lacking in handling and resolving problems in difficult situations that arises due to poor training and no clear policies set out by management. This is an international Hotel and in my opion it does not meet the require standard.
