Not in the main hubbub of town, but close enough to walk everywhere. I'd second the comment about Marmita's Restaurant, which is right nearby -one of the best restaurants we ate at in Chile. Definitely eat there! Also near to grocery store - Abu Ghosh and a trail mix store.

This place was clean and breakfast was good but nothing particularly outstanding.

It was fairly empty when we were there so I think we got upgraded to a bigger room with the window view of the nice garden. My parents room was on the inside with no windows, but was definitely adequate.

This hostal is in a relatively quiet area of Punta Arenas, close to everything. It has about ten rooms, all of them double or twin with private bathroom. The room is fine, clean and with tv. The breakfast is okay as well. It's not a bad hotel, it's good value, but nothing really special either. The best thing is the restaurant close by, La Marmita. This is a fantastic restaurant, family owned, really really nice decorated and suberb food!

Art Nouveau is a sweet little place. The ladies at reception are all extremely friendly and help to give the place a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. In the garden, there is a nice pergola with benches which is calm and relaxing. The only problem for me was that the benches are not so solid for somebody of my weight. I would suggest they place some better benches (or i should loose some weight)

The hostal is located just 50 meters from the busterminal, which is very conveniently. Also the city centre is just around the corner, a short walk brings you there.

During our stay i forgot one shirt. Since we passed through Punta Arenas two weeks later, i called them and what do you know: they still had it ! It looked like they'deven ironed it! Now thats what i call excellent service.
