“OK - reasonable enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 March 2010

The rooms are pleasant and clean if a little drab. The restaurant was empty but ok. The location is quite good being right in the centre of Punta Arenas but then again there is no real advantage of being in the centre as the town has few attractions. Overall a reasonable choice if you have to stay in Punta Arenas but not exceptional.

“A Great Hotel in a Good Spot in Punta Arenas Chile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2010

We stayed for a week because of the earthquake in central Chile and the limited air service from Punta Arenas thereafter. The hotel is built like a castle with thick walls. Hence it was really quiet despite the fact tat we were in the front of the hotel on one of the main shopping streets. The staff was quite friendly and helpful during a difficult time after the major earthquake. Its central location was very good and it was indeed just down the street from a wonderful chocolate shop!! The only negative was the smal adjacent parking lot which would be difficult to park a large vehicle in. Rooms were impeccably clean and the included brealfast was wonderful.

“Fine location and would stay there again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 May 2009

We did a great deal of walking around Punta Arenas and found the location to be great. The rooms were clean, quiet and the staff very friendly. We were given a room with 2 double beds and it was not an issue requesting a new room with a queen. It is not luxurious but certainly suitable. The cafe/ bar in the hotel is lovely but there are a handful of bars and restaurants in the area.

“Tierra Del Fuego is OK.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2009

Rooms were OK. We snagged the last two rooms one afternoon and it was sold out our first stay in town so I might suggest you make advance reservations. There is some off street parking but they let us keep our truck right under the canopy by the front door. Elevator worked fine. Breakfast was a let down and somewhat less than average for Chile. Just off the main plaza a few blocks. On a busy street by day that was dead at night. The small pub had at least several tables going at any time. Early evening it was packed.

“good location”

We spent only 1 night here. The room was clean and well furnished and spacious. we had the room for 3 people. The staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. . The included breakfast buffet was very good with good food and good service.
The location was also very good. It was on the main street for restaurants and shopping and only a couple of blocks from the town square.
