“Good value as breakfast included in price”

Arrived in Siem Reap around 7.00pm from Poipet and taxi driver recommended it - no surprise there! Slightly out of the town so nice and peaceful for sleeping and a $2 tuk-tuk ride took you straight in to the centre. Staff friendly and helpful and would stay there again. As Westerners how could you ever complain about the prices paid in this beautiful country.

“One of the best places I stayed. Invited me to New Year;s party, feted me with going away party in ethnic village”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2010

Staff friendly and helpful. Housekeeping surprised and happy when tip left on bed, gave me a hug. I was invited to share New Year's with them, and day before returning to Thailand, gave me a going away party in an ethnic village. What an honour to experience their everyday life, to have the hunter's come, and the special treat was fried water beetles. I believe, when you are in someone else's country, adapt, be flexible, and be respectful, they will treat you in kind.

It was such a wonderful journey, I'm going back.

“Spacious very clean rooms, free internet stations, breakfast included”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2010

I rate Hotels according to their price to. With more expensive Hotels I have more expectations. This is a budget place to stay and offers good value for money.

Rooms no Aircon where 10 Dollars*
Rooms with Aircon where 15 Dollars*

*As ALWAYS in South East Asia (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos) room prices are negociable and vary from customer to customer. So please train you negoctiating skills before complaining about price (other reviews). And please... Traintickets, Tours etc. are always more expensive in Hotels/Guesthouses.

If you stop a TukTuk and negociate, a whole Day Angkor Transport (Grand Tour) is around 9 Dollar, this Hotel would charge 15 Dollar for that. (As by Feb 2010)

The computers in the lobby where quite good and as fast and reliable as Cambodia Internet is...

Things which were really good
Service, the were really friendly to me. I donated blood at Kantha Bopha Childrens Hospital (no worries really western standards and every Saturday Night 19.15 Free Concert which was really nice!) and the people at the Hotel were very grateful and said, thanks for donating blood to cambodias children. And they fixed my pants for free. And putting 2 Sips in my other Pants was only 1.5 Dollar.
Rooms where compared to other locations bigger and better (and incl. TV)

Things that need improvement
Breakfast! There was only one jam - but you could get eggs and omletts ... I bought my own Nutella...and they only have 2 Teepots but at about 7 Tables :-) But however... it was for free :-)

“Clean and forgetable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2008

Staff is not unfriendly; they sleep in the lobby so there's always someone around to check you in/out. Room was clean and a/c worked fine.

They add the "breakfast package" (approx. $5/night) without asking me. Ásk not to have that extra. If you're planning on visiting Angkor you'll probably leave early, before breakfast is served. Plus the quality is so-so and lacking in variety. Plenty of places in town offer much more appealing options for less.

They advertise internet but the computers in lobby were so slow I couldn't even load a webpage. Tons of cheap internet cafes in town. Also, a bit of a walk from town. When the river floods it can make the walk home/away a wet one.
