We actually stayed at Mysteres d"Angkor in October of 2008. It is a lovely, small hotel in the midst of the hustle and bustle and heat. Very quiet. Lovely to return after a day in the temples and take a quick dip in the pool right outside your room. Staff was helpful, and connected us to Mr. Hauk, who took us out every day in his tut-tut. We highly recommend Mysteres and Mr Hauk. Food and massages also available, and added to the overall sense of relaxation. The hotel was off a back street which was both a plus and a minus. It was quiet, but I was not comfortable walking around in the area, just because it was so foreign to me. However I suspect it might have been fine to do so, and the more adventurous might do so.
