“A lovely hotel run by friendly people!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2011

We staid there for a week and loved every minute of it. The lodge is not built in one big block but consists of small pavilions dotted around the swimming pool in the garden. I liked the fact that it adapted to local architecture. It has all mod cons, and the owners speak both French and English. All staff are very friendly and helpful.
The Angkor temples are within easy reach.
I booked it online without any problems.
It had been recommended to us, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

“an oasis in the heat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 February 2011

We actually stayed at Mysteres d"Angkor in October of 2008. It is a lovely, small hotel in the midst of the hustle and bustle and heat. Very quiet. Lovely to return after a day in the temples and take a quick dip in the pool right outside your room. Staff was helpful, and connected us to Mr. Hauk, who took us out every day in his tut-tut. We highly recommend Mysteres and Mr Hauk. Food and massages also available, and added to the overall sense of relaxation. The hotel was off a back street which was both a plus and a minus. It was quiet, but I was not comfortable walking around in the area, just because it was so foreign to me. However I suspect it might have been fine to do so, and the more adventurous might do so.

“Didn't want to leave!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 February 2011

Great small bungalow type place. Everything clean and much detail. Nicely decorated. Service great. Pool so nice surrounded by plants and trees. Location in in quiet area. At first seems far but not really. You turn right after coming out of hotel grounds walk through Wat and straight and 5 minutes your on the river. Turn left and cross river and you at the old markets. Tuk Tuks always out front.

“there are much better places to stay”

humid place, smelley rooms, dirty pool, far,far away from everything, don`t even try the bikes; they are not worth it, why should anyone choose this rather expensive place while there are manu better and better situated places for less money; for instance the golden banana group.

“Typical, quiet local hotel. Hotel local calme et très typique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2011

We spent a great week nearby the numerous and famous Cambodian temples. The khmer lodge which is the lobby is very nice. The staff is ready to help you at anytime. They provide tips to find the best tour and visits.
