“Luxurious hotel, close to Angkor Wat”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel from 3rd to 6th February 2012. The check-in process was very easy and it was completed while we had a welcome drink at the lounge. The room was comfortable and with free Wi-Fi. The breakfast was good. The hotel is not close to the Siem Reap Old Market but they provide free shuttle service to and from the hotel every 2 hours. If you decide to stay late in the town then you can get a tuk-tuk back to the hotel.
The best part of the hotel is the friendly staff who are always willing to assist. Mr Rithy a front desk staff purchased the bus tickets for the Mekong Express for us to travel to Phnom Penh. The hotel even arranged complementary transport for us to be sent to the bus station as we had to leave before the first shuttle at 8am.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the swimming pool offer a good view.

“Great hotel, would definitely recommend it”

Hotel is in a good location and very close to Angkor Wat. Not much else around the hotel if you wanted to go for a walk in the evening after dinner but close enough to Siem Reap centre to go out in the evening. Room was nice and had a jacuzzi in the bath room. Staff are very friendly and helpful and are very, very keen to get get good reviews online and make sure everything is right for you through out the entire stay. They went out of their way to ensure we were happy at all times which was fantastic. Lots of people staying here seem to be in large groups and on organised tours and presumably they get taken to restaurants in the evening by their tour bus. Therefore the restaurant was very quiet in the evenings and lacked atmosphere but the food was delicious and a great price. It was only 3 US dollars to get a tuk tuk into the centre of Siem Reap and the hotel provides a free shuttle bus so it's easy to get to a great range of restaurants in Siem Reap in the evening. Really happy with our stay at the hotel and would definitely stay there again as it is such great value!

“Great service and facilities from day 1”

We booked 4 nights in early Feb and didnt regert a minute. Its not a brand ndew place by any means but the room was large by Asian standards, a great pool view from the balcony and 24hr free wifi which is basically all we needed! Breakfast was ok, not quite Singapore size buffet but very adequate and the food quality was great! The staff could not do enough for us and while the English skills were not always the best, we always managed.

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Get the pool view rooms, they are quieter

Just checking out of this beautiful place today, and I have to say that I am so impressed by the service. Absolutely everyone is extremely helpful, and always smiling. This hotel is a genuinely friendly and luxurious place to stay. We even had an issue with our card working when we were checking out but it was swiftly fixed with the help of all the staff. Incredible!

From the very second we stepped into the Royal Angkor Resort and Spa, we truly were treated like royalty.  I was greeted on a first name basis by the hotels manager (i guess they knew who i was because we were picked up at the airport).  We we checked in and given a quick tour of the hotel.  The lobby is gorgeously decorated in an old luxurious safari kind of fashion.  The rooms are large and we were upgraded to a deluxe room with a balcony and pool view.  The bathroom is large, with a claw foot tub and shower.  Breakfast was great: a large spread of breads (the pain Au chocolat/chocolate croissants are amazing!), egg station, noodle station, fresh fruit, cereals, juices, yogurt and about 15 hot food items (oh, and the only peanut butter that I've seen in sidearms of SE Asia travel!!!).  The staff was incredibly attentive and greeted us every time we got off the elevator or entered the hotel.  The front desk staff helped us book tours, tuktuks, restaurants, etc.  The pool is huge and the pool chairs are big and comfy.  The hotel was never crowded, but there were enough people that it had a lively yet relaxing feel.  I don't know where the negative reviews have come from, but I have nothing but praise for this hotel.
