I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in January 2010. The room was quiet and had hot water, tv, internet and a fridge in the room. Fittings were a bit tired, the bathroom also. But the hot water was nice and hot and for $12 per night, you can't complain too much. The pool was a great facility and we spent one afternoon drinking and lounging around it with friends.

The hotel is a bit far from the centre of town so far from the action. This is ok if you don't care for "Pub Street" but i would have preferred to stay a little closer in. The restaurant serves good food and the staff are pretty good at getting things organised and booked.

After hot temple-tramping, sitting by the pool for a half day was key. Rooms were large and clean. Cheap beer available 10 meters to the right of the hotel at local stand.

We stayed here in October 2011 with our Intrepid tour. The hotel is really nice, the rooms are big and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The best thing was the lovely pool - delicious after a hot day in the temples.

We arrived at the Freedom Hotel as a result of our first choice accommodation being flooded and were pleasantly surprised. We were given a room at the back of the building overlooking the pool, a great place to have a quiet beer at days end . The room was large and clean with air con and plenty of hot water and even a spa. The real surprise was the restaurant. Not only was the food excellent it was all very reasonably priced. We dined there for each of our three nights. Although a little way from the restaurant and pub area, there is plenty of cheap transport and shops for basic needs. All in all a very clean and cost effective place to stay.
