I'm surprised the FCC isn't higher up the list of great places to stay in Siem Reap as it's a wonderful hotel.

We had a suite with the most enormous bathroom I think I've ever seen in a hotel. Room was also large with nice touches such as lots of oil burners and incence sticks and lovely smellies in the bathroom.

Beautiful saltwater pool in a peaceful setting. You'd never guess you were on a main road.

Breakfast was great and it was a real bonus to be able to have it delivered to the room at no extra charge, especially as we had an early start on the day we left.

Lots of tempting (but pricey) shops on site and it was fantastic to have a drink on the terrace bar in the evening, especially during happy hour.

I don't think the hotel's website does it justice, it is really much nicer than it looks online.

Really recommend this place, we enjoyed our time here embracing our innwr Somerset Maugham's!

Travelled with Creative Escapes: Photography Holiday to Siem Reap, Cambodia, July 2011 This was a perfect combination - great holiday, great bunch of people and expert photography tuition, all based in a fabulous location at the FCC Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap. The itinerary was well planned with lots of excursions to discover off beat & interesting locations & subjects; as well as the iconic Angkor Wat complex which didn't disappoint. With a well balanced mix of informal group tutorials, reviews & individual sessions worked in over the days, it was a big step up to a new level of photographic skills. Perfect location for exploring all the photographic genres with a wealth of opportunities for endless shooting. The free time, lovely pool and spa & evenings sampling great food in a range of places created a lively social ambience amongst the group and a whole lot of new friends. All in all, great value, great fun & highly recommended

We booked the FCC classic package. It was great value. The room was lovely (especially the large bathroom). The room staff were lovely. Breakfast was huge.

We recently stayed at the FCC for 3 nights over Christmas and it was lovely. An amazing breakfast that can be delivered and eaten poolside! The 'compulsory' Christmas dinner wasnt the best but certainly not the worse, and overall had an amazing stay in the hotel and a great base to head out and explore the wonders of Angkor.
