“Great, affordable stay in Siem Reap”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Stayed at Jasmine Lodge for two nights with a group of friends. We were looking for somewhere cheap, but nice to stay and Jasmine Lodge definitely solved this problem!
Very welcoming when we first arrived, great pool table, wi-fi with computers and lots of tables where you can order food.
Stayed in a room on the bottom level with 3 single beds, hot shower and very clean room.
Great location only 5 minutes from Pub Street and not too far from the Temples!
Would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Stayed in the $18 room, only $6 per person for a triple room, excellent value.

“OWNER DARED TO CURSE AT ME!!”

My experience at this hostel could have ended fairly. But my experienced changed.
I was in Siem Reap for one day, and as u know , its not enough to enjoy all the temples.
I decided to rent a mountain bike for the day from Jasmine Lodge. Angkor vat is a few kms outside the town.As soon as got out half way, the left crank (holding the pedal) on the bike started loosening. and eventually fell off. i had to stop several times to put the crank back on but it just kept falling off. This was getting no where and i needed the time to see the temples, so i locked the bike and took a tuk tuk to Angkor vat. On the way back i took a tuk tuk and brought the bike back to the hostel. I explained to the owner what hapened, and that i would not pay for this. Instead of being reasonnable, the owner raised his voice and started calling me names in front of other guests, and kicked me out.

“Friendly staff, helpful owner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

My family and I stayed at Jasmine Lodge in early January and found the staff very friendly and the owner to be helpful.

It was an easy walk to plenty of places to eat, supermarket and ATM's and plenty of Tuk Tuk drivers out the front if you need to go further.

The room was spacious, cheap and adequate for what we needed. The staff were friendly and always up for a talk if it wasn't busy and the food was good.

The owner Kunn was also able to book our bus trip to Bangkok(although that didn't work out as expected) and invited us to his son's party which was held in the front carpark of the guesthouse which was enjoyable to experience a Cambodian party and mix with the Tuk Tuk drivers, staff and family and friends of the owner

“Staff is very unfriendly, look for jasmine nr.2, breakfast is really good”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

I stayed for 4 nights at the jasmin lodge. I was supposed to stay at jasmin lodge nr.2 (I e-mailed with them in advance and they confirmed it) but when I arrived it was not possible anymore. Because I'm staying for a longer time in Siem Reap (3 months), I have a discount. But every time he tells me another price, and a bigger price! My room is really terrible. I can't open my window because there is a brick wall in front of it. I do'nt have any sunshine as well. I always have to put on the lighting to see anything and two times the lighting didn't work in my room and they seemed annoyed to repair it. I also smell mould all the time. When you have questions the owner is not interrested or smiling at all, his English should be better as well. He even acted rude to other people two times. The other staff is really friendly though! Breakfast and food is also really nice and fast. I quite like the location because I don't want to be located right in the center.

Room Tip: Jasmin lodge nr.2 is really better. Make sure to see your room in advance, because they have nice r...

“third time unlucky”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

I have mixed feelings about this place. I have been there 3 times and two times was great and last one was truly terrible. If you get room in new part of Jasmine Lodge especially on top flours of it you will be heap with it. They are very clean, quite new, bright and nice. But old building and Jasmine Lodge 2 are totally different. Main problem is that during reservation you can ask for new building but when you will arrive you can get something totally different. For example i got 1 room in old building of Jasmine Lodge with was fool of tropical fungus, 3 rooms in Jasmine Lodge 2 and 2 rooms in totally different hotel with was at very low standard.

So if you are in Siem Reap its good idea to go there and take look at their rooms if they will have room in new building you can take it because staff there is very helpfully and friendly. Breakfast is served on nice patio. Location for me is perfect especially if you wont to take bike and go to Angkor. And price is more then good.

Room Tip: Ok, rooms in new building are very good but rooms in old part of Jasmine Lodge are terrible especial...
