“easy place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a nice stay. It is located just a few streets south of the tourist triangle so a little less noise. The good points: excellent ac and wifi in the rooms; really helpful and pleasant staff; great travel desk for coaches etc; very reasonable priced and relaible tuk tuk driver for day hire (10-15$) and the finally the price- $16 for 2 people, pvt with ac. The not so good: pillows hard, bathroom is tired (but clean).
We would stay there next time without bothering to look elsewhere.

“best $9 hotel I ever stayed in.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I stayed here 2 nights. Booked it online and chose it because of the location very close to 'Pub Street' which is where all the restaurants, bars, markets, massages are located. I did as they advise on their own website and didn't book before seeing the room [some hotels will keep your money if you get there and decide not to stay]. I took one look at the room and bathroom before accepting it. Clean and tidy, and as the title says, no complaints for a $9 hotel room! the only negative for me was the lack of white cotton sheets on the queen bed. They had some strange checked flannel, beaded from constant washing, and not what I'd call very comfortable.
It was hot enough for me to sleep on top of them rather than in them so it wasn't too bad. I had an A/C room but didn't need to use it. The view from the window [1st floor] was of the construction site next door which may have put me off except that I was getting up before sunrise to go see the temples. Plus, I was out all day and didn't care that they were jackhammering until 7pm. This is not a hotel for lounging around in all day but it was very good as a base for heading out to the attractions.

Room Tip: at these prices.. choose the best room they have.

“Nice place, friendly staff, great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

We wound up here after a small odyssey through Siem Reap's guesthouses. This place is awesome. Friendly and very helpful staff who actually seemed like they wanted to help us. We had a nice room with a view over the rooftops. Couldn't do better for this price ($9/night). I wouldn't bother staying anywhere else in Siem Reap.

“Great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

Mandalay Inn came highly recommended and I was not disappointed. The staff are so friendly, but not over friendly - just genuine niceness. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and situated so close to everything you could possibly need. My room had a large, comfy bed with speedy fan, hot water and nice breeze coming through window. The food in restaurant is very reasonably priced for budget travellers. Overall, a safe place to stay.

“Nice place great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Really good value at this place. It is as well maintained and nice as a more expensive place but with a bargain price. Can book tours through them, ask for Mr. Kat who was a really nice fellow.
