We stayed at the Nokor Phnom for only 1 night as part of a tour package.
The rooms, hallways and dining area were dank, dirty and dead insects became a common sight. We had asked for a double non-smoking room however when we arrived the room we were given had two single beds and was noticably a smoking room. Management informed us that there were no non-smoking rooms in the building. They later moved us to a non-smoking queen room which was a vast improvement on the first room.
Other points:
- a friend left an important message for us with the front desk staff which we never received;
- a staffperson burst through our door and started vacuuming in our room while we were in there having a rest;
- the breakfast was sparse, cold, greasy, the fruit powdery and as mentioned before, dead insects lay on and around the tables;
- too far from restaurants and the main area;
- overpriced.
If we had been staying for more than 1 night we would have checked out and moved to one of the many beautiful hotels nearby.
Don't be fooled by the attractive exterior of the hotel as you drive up, the reality inside is much much worse!!
